The place was absolutely adorable. Very well decorated and instagram-worthy. The mural (pictured below) is fantastic, I really love it.
However, the staff were all very bored looking, very non-sociable, and uninterested in customers. They looked like they were annoyed at all of us for being there.
Also, there is something to be said about how loud the place is. The scraping and banging from the ice cream rolling can't be helped, but it is worth noting that it was not the quietest place to be. And this was made worse by an employee using a mop and bucket that was incredibly loud. Not sure if she was using it wrong but there was some foot petal she was using and it was impossible to ignore or talk over it.
The ice cream itself was about a 4/10 unfortunately. I'm a bit of a ice cream enthusiast, and so were the two people I brought with me. We all got rolled ice cream, all 3 of us got different flavors and combinations of toppings, and none of us were impressed. The presentation is amazing, very pretty looking. But the ice cream itself is extremely watery, not creamy at all, and is more like a slushy than ice cream if that makes sense. Of note to me personally was that the Nutella ice cream wasn't really Nutella either, it's just vanilla with some Nutella dotted about. I think it could be saved by making the ice cream chocolate and having the Nutella increased and mixed in more. Just a thought!
We didn't try the tea or anything else, which makes me feel bad to give this place a low rating, but it was a place I wouldn't really give a second chance just because of the other issues we experienced, so it's still a fair rating. I think this place has potential, but I guess there's a reason I've lived in the area for 22 years and haven't ever...
Read moreIt's sad that I have to write this as the ice cream and boba was decent here. This is probably the 5th time I've been here and I hate to say I will not be coming back. The girl sitting on the chair with the blue hair I have had service me the past 3 out of my 5 visits and I have to say she has to be the rudest person there. Not sure if she just feels entitled or if her family own this but it would not kill you to actually be NICE to your customers. Believe me I thought it was just the one time I came but everytime I come in here, this girl is at the register and has no manners at all. I asked her one time for her opinion on something and she stated "Yes, it's popular...thats why it's a best seller!". WOW. Today I brought my kids in and I couldn't even pop a smile out of her...I came through the door, said hello and she couldn't even say hello back all she said was "What can I get you!" RUDELY as she usual does. The girls in the back couldn't get me a to go cover on my ice cream and it was a whole 15 min ordeal for them to find one. Anyhoo, products are good but the service from there teen workers here are horrible. Also, they are too cheap to honor there punch cards anymore so I was told by the rude blue hair girl that they don't do those anymore. Going to take our...
Read moreWish I could share an experience, but was unable to get service. I just wanted a container of ice cream from the menu. When the entered, an employee from the back yelled ‘I’ll be there in just a minute.’ Another associate came from Blackjack next door to the register to help. When I asked about getting a container, they told me to look at the picture and read the menu. I just wanted to bring a tub or container of frozen delicacies home. However, it was apparent I was interrupting their time as they were preoccupied with their cell phone. I proceeded to ask questions on obtaining a suitable frozen treat when another associate pulled them away from our engagement. I didn’t feel any focus or hospitality or attention; being the only customer in the shop. I inevitably said thank you and walked out, but service was not a priority . This is only an experience on service and not a review on product. Wish I could say whether it was delicious or not. There are many other hospitable vendors in the area. I’ll be returning to them as new clientele or retention does not seem to be the focus on associates I had experience with. Maybe I’m out of my element, but I will not be returning or...
