First off, this little plaza is poppin’, so be prepared to hunt for parking or the classic drop-and-go for a table while someone drives a little ways over to the bigger adjacent lot. That being said, the area seems pretty safe, and the lot, while being poorly lit, is paved and marked off.
This is the only restaurant I’ve tried in this part of town, and it was delightful. The staff are friendly, the restaurant isn’t too loud, and the food comes quickly. Our waters were refilled quickly whenever we asked. I didn’t like that the tables are quite close together and a little too narrow for two average (ie plump) Americans to sit side by side, but luckily my companions for the evening were thin, so I didn’t not have to share a side haha.
The food was fresh and crispy, delightful smells all around. The menu is quite long, so be prepared for furrowed brows and silence from your party for a while. I ended up ordering off of the vegetarian menu because the prices were better. Good portion size and presentation! The dish as a whole was filling and delightful in texture contrasts. Worth the ~$10 price tag.
I am disappointed that the Thai tea (which includes boba! Yay!) had so much ice, but I suppose it is my fault for failing to specify. The boba was perfectly cooked—slightly warm, soft, not mushy, and sweet. The pho, I was told, was decent but not remarkable—-granted, my friend opted for a vegetarian broth, so I don’t hold the restaurant too tightly to packing a punch with that version of the iconic soup.
Overall? I’d go again if it were convenient to plans and things. I won’t seek it out on my own when there are plenty of fantastic options that are closer to home, but this was a fun experience that left me smiling.
Oh, one more thing! There are two single bathrooms, one for each gender. All the cleaning supplies and materials are in the bathroom, which I like a lot. Careful not to hold up...
Read moreI’ve lived in this area for the past 5 years and have been to this restaurant over 100 times. Today I took my son there & had the worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. We arrived near opening and weren’t greeted when we walked in. There was a man sitting at a table on his telephone and he glanced up at us. I asked him if he wanted us to seat ourselves and he said yes. I got my own highchair and went to the table that was going to work best for my son and I when the server then told me I needed to sit in the booth in the corner. He brought me a water but never asked if we wanted anything else to drink or if I wanted a drink for the baby. He then proceeds back to his table and continues eating and talking on his telephone. Close to 10 minutes later he comes to the table to take our order. Somebody else brought our food out and was extremely kind, but our server never came back to check on us once. Mind you there was nobody else in the restaurant at this time. While I enjoyed my son I couldn’t help but notice that the entire time we were there our server was upfront on his telephone even listening to voicemails on speaker phone. When I needed a carry out container I had to flag down a lady who then told him I needed some thing. He stood at the opposite side of the room while I had to shout to him what I needed he didn’t even bother to come to our table. When it was time to pay I went to the register and had to get his attention again because he was still on his phone. It was so incredibly rude and although I love the food there I can’t imagine I would pay for that experience again. I can’t say that I have ever seen that server there before so I’m not sure if he’s new or bad service is...

If you are looking for good Vietnamese food go elsewhere. Today was the first full rainy day. A hot flavorful Pho sounded perfect. Unfortunately, front of the house was struggling bad. Plenty of tables not cleaned off, no greeting even when there are groups of people waiting by the door. My friend and I saw multiple people walk out. Inconsistent front of house. No greeting at all for 10 minutes. Some customers would get the veggie plate that comes with pho; others like mine didn't. Had to request that and sauce plates. Tables that ordered after my friend and I got their food before us. Thus showing back of the house was struggling as well. Multiple leaks from the ceiling from the half of the restaurant we were sat in. To-go orders seemed to be more important than the customers in the restaurant. Appetizer plate just seemed poorly put together. Pho broth just tasted like white pepper. No beef flavor or it was just drowned out by a white pepper taste. Noodles were in a clump in the soup. Had to use chopsticks to separate and loosen them up. By the time it was for the first bite the broth was barely hot anymore. Disappointing broth because of a heavy white pepper taste with every bite, and protein was barely okay. End of the day the explanation was the were busy. This isn't their first day or first month open they have been there a while. Would not recommend after this experience.
PS. This is the first time I've ever not wanted to finish my pho. The best thing was the artificial flavored drink... just because as well... Where's the cilantro in the soup and bean sprouts on the side...
