Sicily's Italian Buffet has more to offer than the best tasting buffet pizza I've had in a long time. Along with Italian staples like lasagna and hearty homemade marinara sauce, meatballs and italian sausage this magnificent display of delicacies boasts some very fine southern comfort foods like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fried okra and fried pickles combined with some of the most tender and juicy rotisserie chicken in the area. I found myself going back for seconds and then thirds just to make sure I had experienced everything.
I rate 4 of 5 stars due to the lack of sweet tooth satisfying desserts. There is ice cream so dont fret just yet but the dessert pizzas and other sweets sway just off the mark for my taste but I wouldn't go so far as to say it could detract from that delicious pizza.
Now this is where I'm tempted for 5 stars. That home style ranch dressing sent the already commendable pizza to the stars and back! If you're a ranch dressing lover like myself you will fall in love with and remember Sicily's for its remarkable pizza dip as I would consider it.
All of this topped with drink options like soda, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, everybody's favorite Icee and the fun for the kids game room made our 2 year old's and our visit to Gulfport Mississippi's Sicily's Italian Buffet a place I'll recommend to friends, family and the passersby for a family friendly dining experience full of...
Read moreWhen CiCi's pizza buffet meets Golden Corral Buffet. Pricing is In-between as well strangely enough. Roughly $10.49 for adults and $12.99 on the weekends. I think there's a slight price increase on the weekdays if you come after 5pm. Like a $1 more per person. Regardless, the price doesn't go above $12.99 per person lol.
It is self serve, (meaning you get your own drinks, food, etc) which is a dining experience I prefer.
Pizza tastes like Pizza Hut instead of the Italian firebrick oven style of NYC. Tastes substantially better than CiCis (sauce to crust ratio and flavors). Staff are pretty friendly and nice.
In terms of quality, it's a buffet. Not Maggianos. The meatballs tasted like the kind straight out of a frozen bag. Yet, the salad bar, house made chicken, and baked pizza were of great quality. The chicken was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor so make sure you go friendly with the hot sauce available to add flavor. The pizza packed a punch of flavor so no complaints there.
Biggest selling points of this place: 1. Affordable prices 2. Variety of eating options 3. Self-serve fast casual atmosphere.
If you use a card to pay, there is an additional $1 fee upfront. If you pay cash, no extra fee.
Would I...
Read moreWent here on vacae. The kids wanted pizza and we wanted something with a buffet. Best of both worlds. Although when we called for pricing the girl that answered and told me she didn't know the prices that she didn't have time to figure that out. Very rude! I no longer wanted to go but bc of my kids and husband it got a second chance. When we got there the price for kids was 60cents times their age. How hard was it to say this? Lol her customer service Could use work. Although the guy that busted tables here was so sweet and helpful. He Even refilled our drinks when he didn't have to and made sure my youngest got a booster seat. The buffet is in the shape of an s and has everything from regular pizzas to mufalata pizzas and several different pastas, crawfish pasta, 3 cheese and meatballs! Then further down food From fried fish to red beans!! It was all So yummy! There is an arcade in the back that we didn't visit as well. The only downfall is that we past this place up twice bc there is no sign that is helpful for you to see. Turning around in that traffics was...
