Barnwood — Restaurant in Gurnee

The food here is extremely disappointing. The photos you see are clearly stock images and don’t reflect what you’ll actually get. While the staff was friendly, the prices are outrageous for what amounts to very low-quality meals—honestly, I’ve had better food in a hospital cafeteria.

The fries, chicken, and salads are the exact same as what’s served in the water park, just plated differently and priced at three times the cost. Portions are small, seasoning is lacking, and the overall quality is just not there.

Do yourself a favor: skip the on-site restaurants and head off property for a real meal. For what you’ll pay here, you could enjoy a far better...

We have gone about 4 times. The wait once seated to get drinks and food is always ridiculous. The drinks are overpriced. The food is too but it has always been yummy and well made. We keep going back in hopes of better service. Our waitresses and waiters have always been kind and its not their fault but it's exhausting... probably our last try tonight. It's a bummer because it's a convenience to have it in the hotel. We even took something to go once... don't do that. The quality was no good....

Having over 5 years of serving experience, I don't believe this had anything to do with the server and we had a party of 13 so I can understand if an item is forgotten or not 100% accurate but what I ordered (salmon entree) did not come out until 15-20 minutes after everyone else's and then it was extremely undercooked where I could not consume it.
