I really wanted to fall in love with this location since it is a closer commute but my most recent visit has made the decision to stick with the Williamsburg location easier. I cannot say one bad thing about the custard itself because it is amazing which is why I was so excited for this location to open. The problem I have is with how they are not managing orders properly. I understand this location gets pretty busy due to its location but as a manager you have to make the right decision on how to operate with minimum workers and having several avenues for customers to order. I visited on August 29th and placed an order at the kiosk which is their preferred method on the inside. When I placed my order, there was not a lot of customers present but over time more people started to show up. The drive-thru was backed up, the walk-up area on the outside was beginning to get packed and people were constantly ordering on the inside at the counter and kiosk. I sat there patiently assuming they were baking my brownie for my brownie sundae, lol, which is why it was taking so long. But then I saw someone who came in after me get the exact same thing I ordered before me. I went to the counter to inquire about my order and was told that they had so many orders to handle, and my order was coming up. I received half of my order and that person proceeded to assist the customers from the outside who showed up well after my order was placed. Look I get it, but the tickets should be a little bit more organized. If you are not able to handle the load of having four ways to place an order, then shut one down so that your workers are not overwhelmed and confused about what ticket came in at what time and customers are served in a timely manner. There is no reason I should have been sitting there from 5:16 to 5:45 for a simple brownie sundae (not received) and a large vanilla custard. Had I not gotten up to say something, I probably would have been sitting there until close. I did ask for a refund and received a gift card instead. No biggie, I understand their policy. I am not saying to anyone not to go to this location but if it looks like they are crowded and you see only about four people in the back fulfilling orders, go back another time unless you have nothing else to do. The custard is delicious, but this location could use a little bit more training on taking and...
Read moreThe ice cream is in the taste range of Dairy Queen and Chic fil a. So if you like those, you'll love this. It is frozen custard so it is creamier than ice cream but not a mouthful of cream like Sonic's is.
Many options, it can be overwhelming. The staff will help you as much as they can. You can customize toppings with create your own or go with some of the options on the menu. The portion sizes are big. When they say a scoop, they mean a scoop or small shovel size serving.
There are 3 ways to order: drive thru, walk up window, or inside. Inside has a window and a self serve kiosk. There are to go products in the inside.
The dining area inside is small so don't bring a large group to take up the entire space. Be considerate of others. Just like on public transport, have...
Read moreWow...this custard was so delicious! Thick, creamy, and flavorful! I had a small cup of one of the Flavors of the Day, which was chocolate custard with chocolate wafers and cherries throughout. It was more than enough as it took me awhile to eat it. I thought the price was reasonable at $6.06 including tax for the amount you get. Next time I may ask for a kid's cup.🤣 I deducted a star only because it took way too long to get it, though it did prove to be worth the wait. I acknowledge, however, that it was Saturday evening, a nice warm evening, and its second weekend being opened. Don't be in a hurry if there is a line. Just be prepared to enjoy your friends and family while you wait on the patio or inside. Hoping it will go a bit faster for...
