Great Mediterranean food. Always delicious and flavorful. Service is always fast and very courteous. One of our family favorites for takeout! Edit: 5 stars downgrade to 2 stars Unfortunately my last two experiences at Mezeh have been very frustrating. Both times I used the website to order for my family and both times I arrived after my scheduled pick up time to find my order was not ready. On the first occasion I was told that they didn't have any rice ready and it would be 20 min if I still wanted rice (my order was placed about 30 min before my pickup time so it should not have been a surprise that they would need to prepare more rice) I had kids in the car so I opted to drive around the shopping center and wait for my order to be completed. After 25 minutes I returned to pick it up and found them putting together my order and STARTING to put my flatbread on the baking conveyor...another 15 minutes later and my order was completed with no offer of compensation or really even a sincere apology. Last night we have them a second chance and arrived 15 min after our pick up time to find them piecing together our order but they informed us that they had no pitas available and it would be 20 min to thaw/bake the flatbread for our order. We waited about 30 minutes and the flatbread was completed and they offered us drinks and wrap bread to substitute in our order. This time they were more apologetic and tried to adequately substitute items which I appreciate but again we ordered 30 min before our pick up and were told they did not have core pieces of our order ready for us. Rice and Pitas are the base ingredients in nearly ever order so it's inexcusable that they are not ready for your order when they have more than 30mins to prepare and the items only take 20 min to prep by their own admission. Both of our most recent orders were delayed nearly an hour from the scheduled pick up times which is really hard on a family with young kids and right schedules. While the food is always delicious I don't think I can risk ordering from here anymore because they can't dependably fill orders on time or with all the...
Read moreI love message but my experience today and my experience last week led me to do this review. Last week I went in and the lamb meatballs were red inside so I asked to be giving shredded lamb instead. I was told when I got to the register that because I got shredded lamb I was charged more money equating to $16 a bowl. I paid for the meal and left the tip when she played it to about $23. They're ordering the yummy baklava. I I was waiting on by the Afr-Am guy with the dreadlocks he was very nice however I felt it was unfair to be charged more money being that their meat was not thoroughly cooked as it usually is but I paid it anyway and left. Fast forward to today I go in order the lamb meatballs which were fully cooked through I asked for extra lamb to which the gentleman with the dreadlocks told me I would be paying $5 for it. I thought that was too steep so I asked him the cost of chicken kebab and he told me it was $3 for extra. I asked him to confirm the price of the bowls for any of the meat that I wanted you told me it was all the same price whether it was shredded meat lamb kabob or chicken. I found that very odd thing that last week he just told me they charged me extra for shredded lamb. . Got to the register was rung up for $4 for extra meat to what he says "oh I guess it's $4 and not $3". I said okay and proceeded to pay but when asking for extra bread he began to ring me up for$1. I told him wait you gave me the wrong price on the meat and now you're going to charge me for bread shouldn't we just break even?. He apparently did not agree because he said if you want extra bread it'll be $1 so I told him nevermind. I need for this place to get on ball with their pricing everyone on the line should know the pricing in and out and it should be visually posted as well. It's bad enough that I'm paying over $16 for a bowl of vegetables and meat plus the cost of the baklava.. I don't feel like a value customer haggling over $1 to the error of the merchant. I won't be coming back here anytime soon too...
Read moreFirst, I'd like to say the food at this establishment is great. You get healthy, decent portion size and it's tasty. My only issue with this place is they offer a discount for what they consider public service workers which include police officers and fire fighters etc. I was informed by a co-worker that they also offer military discount. I am in the military, I show up to Mezeh one afternoon after returning from travel for work. I asked about the military discount and was told by who I'm assuming is the manager "We only offer the military discount when you're in uniform". He want on to inform me that what I was purchasing was a good price so I really shouldn't need a discount. I was so MAD. First, if you're going to offer a discount for public service I'm not sure what hole you crawled out of but the military is about the most public of a servant you can be..we support and defend this entire country. Second, who's place is it to determine that what I purchased was a "good price". It had nothing to do with the price! if its a gesture you're offering what does it matter the cost?. I was so turned off by this guy, I have not been back and not sure if I will go back. I hope enough military personal see this review that they at least mention it. I've seen a large patronage from military. Maybe he'll think before he speaks the next time. I was highly offended by the statement that the discount was originally only meant for police officers and firefighters because of their public service. Maybe you should try a stent in Afghanistan and when you return let me know if you think it was a good personal idea or public service is what...
