This was our 1st sit down meal outside of the house since COVID started. We were so excited about going out and enjoying some good food. I should have listened to my gut when I arrived as the service started out bad. There had to have been only 4-5 tables occupied. No more than 12-15 people in the restaurant eating. It took several minutes before anyone even approached us to sit us down. We all, one at a time, went to the bathroom and came back and no one had asked us how many were in our party. When the host did come, she took us to a table that had not been cleaned. So we had to wait for her to clean the table. We ordered our drinks and she came back with all the drinks except one, so we kindly reminded her 2 additional times. Should have left, but we were there and it was getting late. So we ordered our food, which came out pretty fast...well all except my 12 year old son’s order. My husband, daughter and I waited for about 5 mins before starting on our meals, hoping his meal would arrive shortly. Nope, nothing. The look in his face was hard breaking, as he looked anxiously out into the restaurant, waiting for his food. He did eat several of my fries, but looked very sad as his food had not arrived and we had finished our food. Disgusted, I walked to the front of the restaurant to speak with the manager. She came to our table as if we were inconveniencing her. We explained to her that we ordered 4 meals and had only received 3, but on top of that we were done eating and my son still had not received his hamburger. She tells us that the waitress should have explained that the meals come per order and some meals may come out before others. I kindly told her I understood that, but that there was only 8 people in the restaurant eating, so it was not like they were busy. Also, I have come to Buffalo Wild Wings prior to COVID and our meals always come out together or within 2-3 mins of each other, not a whole 45 mins later. She just looked at us as if to say, “I don’t know what y’all want me to do.” I was literally on my app ordering food for my son at Chili’s because I did not want to waste anymore time making my son wait to eat. People are not sitting down and eating in restaurants like the use to and those that venture out willing to spend there money and time should be treated better. Not to mention, we may have become infected with COVID, just by being out. Buffalo Wild Wings I am very disappointed more so at the manager than the staff. I wish I could have gotten my 52.00 I spent there and given it to the homeless man that was sleeping in their patio area. Chicken was dry and the fries appeared to have been reheated several times. Thanks for making our 1st experience eating out as a family since COVID and awful one. 10 out of 10.... I would...
Read moreI come to this BWW very often due to my work requires me to come down from Maryland twice a week. The last 2 times I have been in town and have dined with my family I have had a horrible experience from the same exact server. Ryleigh. I get inexperience don’t blame her for that, but management isn’t any better allowing or not assisting with the only server in the dining room on top of her being forgetful and prioritizing cleaning tables then greeting guest. The first experience with this young lady my family and I waited almost an hour before we even were asked for drinks while having bad service, prolonged periods in between menu, order, Togo boxes, refills and receiving a check. (Everything)This 2nd time I asked how much extra chili was so we may finish out nachos, she says don’t worry about it I got you, she brings back half a ramekin…..(I would have paid for it, why did you even bother to bring that or ask if it’s sufficient and if I wanted more it was blank price??) Greeting was shorter but again prolonged times in between everything, that’s not what bothers me. It’s the fact that on top of all this I specifically say I’m here for the bogo and she simple doesn’t remember to add the number or even ask for it. Then I show her my app and ask about the free dessert when spending $10 if I can use it, she says yes. So I order a dessert but had a feeling she didn’t know what she was talking about. We ended up not touching the dessert and waiting for the check. Come to find out the bogo was taken off but not the dessert, ask the service she doesn’t know why. I assumed it’s due to the 2 discounts on one check. Her solution is to throw it away and not sympathize with her mistake. I feel that more focus on employee training needs to be achieved at this BWW, you will be losing guest for simple basic guest acknowledgment and simple prioritizing duties. Why would management leave her on her own? She clearly can’t handle it. Literally 4 tables. I’ve served for many many years and that is nothing. (How has she not learned yet how the app works? Specially working a Bogo night during an NBA Game 1 final 4??? And by herself) she was set up for failure. I will never have her serve me again, hopefully the next time I can actually find a manager and let them know I don’t want to be seated in...
Read moreThe only thing that saved the restaurant was our amazing server Nic. She was such a kind soul to us and made our visit better than the zero stars it would have been otherwise.
Was told there was a wait and to write our own name in the wait list. No one was there, there was no wait.
Waited 45 min for cold food. We all ordered chicken and fries.
We experienced micro aggression from the bus staff. They surrounded our table, aggressively cleaning all of the tables around us five times each. Scrubbing the tables and using 10/15 sprays of cleaner at a time. One of the women even moved in between us to clean the adjacent table, positioned her body between two of us. They actually brought out the sweeper and used it at our table.
At first I thought that maybe they were trying to close this section (although there were other people there, but the excessive multiple cleanings of the tables that were cleaned just mere moments ago felt purposeful), so I asked if they were trying to close the section (it is 7:07pm at this time) and the woman refused to even look at me and said, “NO, we are doing what we do”.
Then she proceeds to clean the tables in a full circle around ours for a (I wish I was kidding) FIFTH time.
As we leave the restaurant, the entire outdoor seating area was filled with tables that had not been been cleared at all, they were covered with dishes and napkins blowing away. Seeing this confirmed it in my mind that the five rounds of cleaning were an intentional micro aggression to let us know that we are unwelcome customers to this establishment.
There were three of us, and despite this being a celebration visit to BWW (at the birthday girl’s request), I couldn’t help but feel committed to never visiting this location again.
Nic was great, and her effort made it a decent time, but seeing the employees waste cleaning products and their own energy to be nasty to customers, while actual work was neglected is really indicative of a poor staffing issue. I had an intuition to go to the Newport News or Suffolk locations, and that will be the move going forward.
Would not recommend. This visit...
