The food that I've eaten there is exceptionally good at the bar area lacks a lot to be desired. They're not places where you can sit and chat with your friends it is too loud not that friendly. I lived at Embassy here in Downey for 2 months when my house burned down before the remodel. During that time the hospitality bar was very nice and the front bar was exceptionally nice and friendly and laid out in a way that you could talk to more than one person at a time. If you're thinking of remodeling again do it. Again the food was very good at blackstone's Grill although I must tell you that even though we had a reservation for New Year's last year they ran out of lobster and we were there early. Restaurant only had a few customers when I arrived. Grabbed my happy hour drinks before I sat down, thank goodness because service was super slow even though it was not busy when I arrived. Had the margarita pizza, which was cold by the time I got it. It still tasted ok but not like it should have. Cheese was solid instead of melted like it should have been on a hot pizza. Server brought the check before she brought the food. I wanted to order dessert, but the server never came back. bad customer service, We have been coming to this location. for more then 10 years. even during the pandemic my wife and I came to stayed here but, the service is getting worse and worse, exp . bartender did not want to give us a drink because it was happy hour and he was not going to cut the line.
