Waikiki Brewing Company, South Side — Restaurant in Hawaii

This is definitely going to be a mixed review since we had a great experience the first time we ate there. The second attempt was later in the same week ( last week while we were on vacation). We walked out. First time, food was great and our wait staff was super nice and very personable. Later in the week, we decided to go back for lunch. Wow, what a difference. The manager sat us in an area where there was absolutely no air flow. We had just spent three hours at the beach, and it was really hot where this bench was. Keep in mind, the restaurant was not busy. My husband asked our wait staff if it would be too much of a problem to be moved to a table with a little more air flow. As I said previously, we ate here earlier in the week. We knew they had tables with fans and open windows in the back. This guy acted like we were idiots for asking. He yelled at us and said "You do realize this is an open air restaurant. " He stormed off. My thought would be if the back end of the restaurant wasn't open, then why not just tell us? Later, the manager comes over and gets pretty snarky with us. He said the same thing the waiter said to us. He storms off and said " Well follow me we will just have to make you happy. " He sat us in another area which was fine. I told my husband, that in no way am I going to spend any money here. We got up and walked out. Again, the restaurant was not busy. We never would have asked to move if it was crowded. It wasn't. We are also from the southern part of the U.S. and know hot it gets. This manager and male waiter were absolutely ridiculous. Eat somewhere else. We left and went to Tommy Bahama. Great staff...

Second time at this place. I can't remember if it's changed hands and names since the last time I was there...probably 2021. A bit disappointed. Asked for one of their craft beers (Hefe) and was told they were out. And then waitress told me another beer that was on the list was out. Nevermind the beers they listed online, a majority weren't on the printed menu. Ordered wings and onion rings as my lunch. Onion rings were no longer the very thick steakhouse type rings you see in some of these review pictures. Last time I was there, the rings were very big and thick. The wings were the most disappointing part. They say they are spiced and then fried. I guess? Couldn't really tell the flavor of the wings. The most annoying part is that they make you sauce your own wings. They give you two tiny dipping cups of a hot and sweet sauce and expect you to dip your wings into that tiny cup and sauce it yourself. I know it makes for faster prep and delivery, but it makes it a poor eating experience. Got the Bavarian pretzel, which is pretty standard from some factory where they heat it up. Daughter said it was dry and not very tasty. She was turned off by the cheese that came with it and used the ranch dipping sauce from our wings instead. Waitress disappeared for periods at a time. Really Disappointing! We arrived, not really knowing what to expect, but it looked good. We couldn't have been more wrong. Ordered Starters & main meals. Main meals came out quickly, but before we had had our starters?? Said we'd like starters first. They took back our mains to the kitchen. 5mins later, starters arrived & mains were delivered again!! Quite sure they were the same mains that they tried to give us earlier. At this point we said we don't want our mains yet as only just received starters. Waitress said I can't take them back to kitchen. We said yes you can. She argued again & when we wouldn't accept them, as we said the mains will be cold by the time finish our starters, she said I'll get my Manager. We said ok, get the manager. The manager never came near us, no apology, just walked passed the Waitress & rudely said "just take them back" 20mins later the same, now barely even warm, the same mains were delivered for a 3rd time. Obviously not concerned about customer service or bad reviews. Would not return or recommend this restaurant. The only positive note was Britney, the Waitress that initially greeted us at our table & took our order & the Barman that served our drinks. Britney was delightful!! The Manager & other waitress could learn alot...
