Sunglass Hut — Local services in Maui

I second the comment about unwelcoming management. I went in looking for a pair of Michael Kors to replace the MK sunglasses I purchased at that store a few years ago. As soon as she said, ‘we only carry the high-high end now’ I should have turned around and left. I decided to look past the air of haughtiness and take a look at a pair that she said was accidentally sent to her store, despite it being two years since her store was upgraded to only high end brands. Seemed odd but they were close to what I was looking for so I purchased them. Shortly after leaving I realized the lenses were a little too light and the frame slightly too narrow for my liking and comfort. I tried to return them after ~15 minutes of wear to be told she couldn’t take them back because they were scratched. How they got a scratch in 15 minutes of wear from the store to my car is beyond my understanding. I ended up exchanging them for a more expensive pair at another store. So I was trying to get to a Sunglass Hut before I left out of town for Hawaii and I didn’t make it so I figured I’d stop by the closest one to my hotel. I stopped in, talked to a gentleman for a little while. He was very helpful. The other girl that was there was also helpful full disclosure. I was pretty confident I was gonna buy some sunglasses in the next week or so but the gentleman was so nice. patient and explained everything in detail. Recently I was in the Sunglasses Hut in Wailea and had a great experience. Marlon, the guy who helped us out, was a total gem. Super kind, totally got the aloha vibe going on. Even though the place was busy, he took his time showing us all sorts of cool shades without rushing us.

Ended up going back later to buy more because of how great the service was. Seriously, one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had. If you’re looking for new sunglasses, this is the place to go. Big shoutout to Marlon and...
