Wailea Elua Village, CoralTree Residence Collection — Hotel in Maui

ANT INFESTATION POORLY MANAGED Absolutely horrible experience I and my family have had vacationing at wailea Eula village in Maui . We booked the property months in advance and we’re vacationing with an infant . The property had an ant infestation and we had ants get into our luggage and into our babies clothes, portable crib, clothes and diapers . We were not informed about this problem but could clearly see that there was an opening in the window through which these ants were coming in and the management was aware of this since we found ant bait that was present there. We reported this problem to the property manager and were told we are in tropical weather and we should expect ants which is extremely disappointing because this was not mentioned anywhere in the listing when we were booking this property . The Maintainance came in later and added more ant baits which barely helped . We opened up a complaint with your Hyatt feedback line and were promised a response in 72 hours . After not hearing back for two weeks , I followed up with the team and finally the same property manager we spoke to the first time at the property called us back. This is the part that was the most shocking as guests , your property manager told us that she heard we are looking for compensation and she usually does not offer it for ants but because so much time has passed since hyatt got back to me , she will try to arrange something minor . Apart from the condescending and frankly accusatory and rude tone , there was no empathy or understanding of the suffering faced for people who have come on a vacation . Frankly I am shocked by how Hyatt property managers think they can treat guests for problems that should not exist in the first place, if they know that insects could be a problem there should be precautionary treatment...

Perfect Anniversary Getaway at Wailea Elua #1402|Wailea Elua Condo #1402 is an absolute dream. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with stunning ocean views from the lanai — the perfect backdrop for morning coffee or evening wind-downs. The condo itself is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a stress-free, relaxing stay.|The attention to detail is evident throughout. Beautiful artwork on the walls adds a touch of elegance, and the bed is incredibly comfortable — it’s clear the owners truly care about creating a welcoming and restful space for their guests.|You’re just steps away from the beachfront walking path, which became our favorite morning and evening ritual. Everything is close by: pickleball courts, two pools, and an outdoor grilling area that’s perfect for easy meals. Plus, with so many fantastic restaurants within walking distance, dining out was a breeze.|This was our second time staying here — we returned to celebrate our 5-year anniversary — and this time, we brought along our two young children (3 years and 8 months old). It turned out to be the perfect family-friendly spot, and we’re so happy we brought them along.|Wailea Elua #1402 continues to be our go-to place in Maui, and we’ll most definitely be returning…...

Very friendly grounds staff. Any repairs (example AC) need to be handled directly with the owner, not the Wailea Elua Staff. They do have a list of plumbers, electricians, HVAC etc so the person you are renting from can use that if they have no idea. Great location. Long Beach path walk... locked area only for residents and guests of Elua on a grassy portion at a beautiful point, ocean front and center, overlooking the beach to the right. Beach does not get very busy and is a bit rocky. A short 5 minute drive to Makena beach is great for snorkeling. Get there early! Small parking lot and your own picnic, drinks, chairs, umbrellas etc. They do have bathrooms although I didn't brave those. Tiffany's is a great place to eat (food centric, little ambiance.... great time and super laid back). Monkey Pod (interestingly a type of hawaiin wood) is an excellent place to eat.. recommend sitting at the bar. Make reservations! Place gets packed. Lineage is good but over priced. Heard the Andaz brunch is great. Urgent care use Motodoc... he will come to you! Or they are located in the Wailea shops plaza near Monkey Pod. Too much sun? Too many drinks? Lava rock scrape?
