Drove home to Hendersonville from Mississippi with our granddaughter. She wanted McDonald's. So after an 8 hour drive, my wife and I drove to McDonald's to get her a Happy Meal. As we entered the lot we noticed that the cones on the outer drive through lane had been moved. Seeing as there were no cars in line and it was almost 9:00 PM, we assumed that the staff had removed the cones. We drove straight to the order kiosk instead of having to drive around the building like we usually do. Well, we sat there. We sat there as 2 other vehicles drove to the inside lane, placed their orders, and drove forward. After the 2nd car ordered, I told my wife that something must be wrong with the speaker so we'll just order at the first window. By this time there were multiple cars behind us. We made our way to the window and I informed the young girl that no one took our order. She said it was because I didn't drive around the building. I was appalled. I told her the cones were gone but she kept arguing that she wasn't taking my order because I didn't drive around the store. So I told her I wasn't leaving and needed to see a manager. She left and another young girl came to the window. She kept saying the same thing. She treated me and my wife like we were stupid. She was extremely disrespectful. So I placed my truck in park and let her know that we weren't leaving until we ordered and got our food. By this time the line behind us was wrapped around the store. She left and the manager, Crysta, came and asked if she could help. I said, I just want someone to take my order please. She said "sure"!! What would you like?" We ordered, thanked her and told her we thought they had purposely moved the cones. She got our food and we were on our way. So simple yet it took a manager to handle. My wife and I are both in upper management roles in our perspective careers. She's in healthcare and I'm in the energy industry. We were both shocked at how poorly these two young employees handled the situation. We no longer visit this...
Read moreI may have been having a bad day. The cashier took a strangely long time to hand me my receipt with my number. Then gave me my food to go when I said to stay. Miscommunication, that interaction was weird but I am weird so it felt strangely normal. The real problem is there was no soap in the bathroom dispenser. Horrible timing on my part.
I was happy that outside the bathroom there was a hand sanitizer station in all its glory. I was glad that it worked but wash your hands before you eat is real during flu season and just in general.
Food is what you expect from Mcdonalds. I got the $8.99 20piece nuggets and basket of fries. Then I splurged on the new Peanut butter Crunch McFlurry. (whispers the ice cream machine works)
The fries were delicious Mcdonalds fries. The basket feels like the appropriate amount of fries for every meal.
The nuggets, for me the nuggets killed the meal. I think I lost my joy for them. I ate them with honey mustard or ketchup.
The Peanut Butter Crunch Mcflurry- was disappointing to me here. I think DQ and Somic do much better on shakes for the price and quality. This was mostly just ice cream. I barely got any topping. It may be better for the machine not to work or be out of order.
The rest of the McDonalds line up is still stellar.
Still check it out you may have a better experience. Go with a classic like that Big Mac and get you those beautiful perfect apple pies or that...
Read moreOrdered a #7 meal with fries and a sprite, a happy meal with a sprite and then a side of fries and another small sprite. Paid for the food, did not receive a receipt but wasn’t too worried about it until we get to the next window and they give us everything but the small sprite and fries (which we didn’t realize we didn’t receive the fries until after we were long gone) but we were definitely charged for it if you add up the total. The woman at the window says we didn’t have a sprite on our order and asked to see our receipt but of course we weren’t given one so i couldn’t provide it for her. I work in fast food so I know that the order should still be on the screen and I ask her “is our order not on the screen?” and she said it’s not on the screen and i go to grab the money to pay for the sprite but when i turn back i’m assuming she looked at the screen which shows our order and saw that yes, we did in fact have another sprite and she just gave it to us. Not to mention we were also picking up a mobile order that I guess didn’t go through to their system even though the app told us to go to the Indian Lake location and press the button when we had arrived and even had the code that you give them at the window. Could have totally been a mishap with the app but they sure didn’t try to be any help about the situation and just said “it didn’t show up on our screen so there’s nothing we can...
