One of the worst BBQ I ever tasted. Ordered the brisket with baked beans. It took a while to get my food as it was the same person taking orders that makes the plates. He had trouble locating gloves, then when my plate was made it was given to the wrong person then to me. The brisket was inedible because it was burnt, cold and hard The only saving grace was the baked beans.

If screwing up BBQ was an art…Wagon Works BBQ would the Leonardo da Vinci of just that. (Sorry to tie da Vinci to this) As a group of 6 people, we had gone to Herman, MO for the 2025 Wild Bacon Trail event. We decided to all eat at Wagon Works BBQ. All of us had pretty much chosen different entries and sides so we got to taste nearly everything they had to offer. First, we wished the menu had a little more detail to the type of rubs, and sauces they use on their BBQ and in the sides. The pulled pork and pork steak were both very dry, the Ribs were a dry rub and way overcooked with the only decent meat (I use that lightly) being the brisket. They have 3 different sides to choose from and once more, nothing to write home about. The potato salad seemed to have very few potatoes and more mayo than anyone would want to eat in a sitting. The coleslaw was really “runny” and the baked beans…how do you mess up baked beans?!?!? Well, they did that too by seemingly soaking the baked beans in what I can only describe a Hot Sauce with a touch of BBQ. I usually trying to give a place a second chance but with the whole group I was with having a bad experience, I cannot recommend Wagon Works BBQ...

out of my whole 30 years of living, wagon Works BBQ is the best, juiciest seasoned meat and barbecue I've had in a long time. I love the cabbage, the coleslaw the owner makes fresh everyday, the hint of purple cabbage gives it a different type of look and texture which I definitely approve of. The owners are awesome, the two girls who work the front end in the kitchen are beautiful personalities. The atmosphere could be a little bit better depending on the climate of the weather. other than that this is my go-to...

I ate here 4 to 6 months ago, food was great, service was great, portions were fair for the price. Over all first time impression was good, however today it was not worth the money and disappointing. The two guys working there were way more interested in thier phones than customers, I spent 18 dollars on an ice cream scoop of cool pulled pork with two table spoons of beans and a bag of lays chips....
