Uncorked The Wine Shop — Restaurant in Hermosa Beach

I entered the Uncorked Wine shop with a very unique request, or so I thought. I asked for a cabernet sauvignon that would go perfectly with cudling up to a fireplace with a book. I figured this was somewhat unusual, but alas, the lady at the front jumped to her feet and said I know exactly what you need. This happened to be her favorite wine, you guessed it, to cuddle up in front of a fire... And I must say, it was the PERFECT wine!! I figure quite a lot of individuals around here work 60+ hour weeks as myself and to be able to walk into a wine shop and walk out with the perfect wine is quite refreshing. Mind you I didn't even need to research anything, didn't need to verify, but just trust. Top notch, will be back again when I'm on another work trip. Cheers!!!

I never write reviews but thought I would share my experience today. It was my first time in the shop today and a lovely younger woman was helping me out. She was very knowledgeable and patient despite me being so indecisive, I appreciate that! The issue arose when one of her coworkers came into the shop and had a complete meltdown in front of us. He was raising his voice at her in front of me and several other customers, saying inappropriate things such as “ I hate you, you’re the worst person ever”. It made me and my friend extremely uncomfortable and my only regret is that I did not speak up and defend this poor girl. I would be back, but not when this older...
