Flatbread Grill & Bar Hilton Head — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

Absolutely Terrible. Absolutely Terrible. Absolutely Terrible. Looking for some easy takeout and just hoping for some average or better eats. We ordered seafood alfredo, steak fajitas and 2 chicken tender kids meals. Total price was $64. Not exactly cheap, but I don't mind spending money for good food. Good food it was not. Unfortunately we brought it back to our condo before eating it, otherwise I would have tossed this back at the kitchen. "Seafood" alfredo had 3 shrimp and a few random flakes of some awful and dry fish (maybe tilapia?). It seemed like the fish flakes were leftovers or something thrown in to try and call it "seafood". It was COVERED in dry oregano flakes. My wife could not eat it and opted to cook ramen noodles instead. Seriously, paid $20 for that and threw it in the trash to eat ramen instead - wrap your brain around that. My steak fajitas - well they gave me 4 tortillas which was great - except there was only enough steak and peppers to fill 2, barely. It was just steak and peppers swimming in a quart of sickly sweet grease, no onions or rice or anything else. The steak was grizzly and tough - I had to slice it up into tiny pieces so I could chew it up (I was not going to resort to ramen noodles with my wife!) Kids chicken tenders were terrible and my wife cooked them grilled cheese for them to eat instead. Their french fries were cooked some time in the Napoleonic era and were oddly tough - the kids wouldn't touch them. In short, we threw away every bit of the food except the tiny bit of fajita scraps. I hope the flatbread grill owners use my donation (I call it a donation since I received nothing in return) as a start to retire, close their doors, and spare everyone else the utter sense of disappointment we have. Seriously though, I implore you - do not go there. If you are the owner or manager of this establishment - please look in the mirror and ask yourself if this is the kind of place you want to have. I have been to Hilton Head many times and tried many different restaurants and have passed this place many times and just never stopped in. I finally tried it and I am so glad I did and the entire menu sounded so good I had a really hard time deciding what to try first. The owner was very very nice and patient and helpful with answering all of my questions and helping me make a decision. I finally decided on the pizza and I got the Islander. It was delicious and I can't wait to come back. There are so many more things on the menu I really can't wait to try. I really loved the atmosphere of the outdoor dining. Very nice. Loved the bar outside. Bar tender that day July 16th was awesome. Loved the conversation and attention paid to customers. Very nice very friendly very helpful in recommendations on drinks. Had the Blueberry Twist and omg amazing he definitely worked his magic. I would definitely get that drink again and can't wait to come back to get it. Definitely will return for the friendly service great atmosphere great food and drinks and very relaxing vibe. I went in the inside to check it out. It's nice in there as well. when we found The host stand It took forever for her to come and tell us where to sit and we ended up being able to sit wherever we wanted. it took forever to get Some service and she asked us what we wanted to drink and never came back. Then another waitress came and she ended up being our permanent waitress, and she was nice, but it did take a long time to receive our menus and our food. After we did get our food, it was disgusting. The fajita bowl tasted horrible the rice was hard a crunchy it was worse than school cafeteria food, and the burger tasted like it was straight out of the freezer. I was almost scared to finish eating it because I felt like I was gonna get food poisoning. The waitress was the sweetest girl ever so it wasn’t her fault but whoever is in the kitchen needs to be replaced immediately.
