7th Street Burger Hoboken — Restaurant in Hoboken

A recently opened place in Hoboken, located on busy Washington st; just make sure you don't walk past this place as they don't have a board sign outside their shop. I remember this business place being occupied by my favourite Garlic and Tahini almost 4 years ago! The restaurant has simple interiors with one outside seating table, wish they can add a couple of chairs inside for people to sit and enjoy the meal. Whereas, the service was pretty quick! The menu here is limited as they look to serve quality over quantity. Now Coming back to the review:

Cheeseburger: Beef patty served with butter toasted buns, the patty was good and soft but the bun had too much butter! Patty was topped with pickle, caramelized onions and American cheese while adding their house sauce which is creamy mayo. (3.5/5)

Crispy Fries: As the name suggests, the fries were crisp and good but on the downside they didn't seem to drain out the oil properly as I could feel it a bit on my fingers. The quantity provided was good! (3/5)

Baonana: This seems to be their signature house dessert, it's basically a pudding and they have it in 3 different flavors. I went for the original banana pudding and it was really creamy and awesome! The bread crust in it was soft and the cream was really flavorful. (5/5)

Started in NYC’s East Village back in 2021, this establishment has now more than 10 locations which my partner and I came today on the last day for an Elite event across the river in Hoboken. Thank you Hailey, Sara and the Yelp team. Upon entering, 7th Street Burger on 4th and Washington Street opened since July is not big with just a long counter near the entrance where one can stand the bar table to eat your meal. With limited menu options, there are three burger options: single cheeseburger, double cheeseburger and single vegan Impossible burger. For this occasion, we were treated to one of their burgers, fries and drink from their menu. Greeted by the front manager Chris, we opted for double burger without cheese and single impossible burger with no pickles. Messy to eat, it was good, juicy and well seasoned. The meat tasted really good and being perfectly cooked. The fries stole the show being served piping hot and perfectly crispy on the outside. I’ll be real. I’m a sucker for burgers. And as far as burgers goes, this place is great. Really great. It tastes like a mom and pop smash burger you’d get at a diner with a vanilla shake. The bites are very satisfying. The potato buns adds a soft and satisfying layer to the crispness of the burger. As far as the fries go, very enjoyable. Just wish they were a bit crispier.

Only reason this place isn’t 5 stars is because of the price. Everything you see pictures cost me $25 (through Uber so that price is minus fees). In addition, for the price, I thought the burger and the fries platter would be bigger. It was very filling though I will say that. I see myself coming back but in person to make it cheaper for me.

Edit: I went in person about 2 weeks ago and I was really impressed with the quality. Amazing burger. If you go in person, you don’t have to deal with the Uber Eats/Doordash Price surge and the quality is amazing since it’s fresh off the oven. The people there work really hard and have great patience and manners....
