Anthropologie — Local services in Hoboken

The only reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because of Carol, she was fantastic and helped me find so many pieces. I’ve walked past this store so many times and never went in and glad I finally did because Carol was so nice and helpful but if it wasn’t for her I would have left. The girls who worked there socializing on the stairs took up so much space my disabled mother had to walk around them and couldn’t hold on to the handrail. Then the icing on the cake was getting rung up by someone with a giant Palestinian flag pin on (in a customer facing role you should really keep political opinions to yourself) and after seeing me and my moms Jewish star necklaces was very dismissive of us didn’t offer to sign us up for the reward program - Carol was there and noticed she neglected to sign us up and told the person ringing us up to please sign us up. I even got a birthday discount. If it weren’t for Carol i would have left my 300 dollars worth of items and...

I’m so disappointed with the staff at this store. I love shopping at Anthro but it’s not okay that shopping in person was easier when bringing my DOG than with my child. This is Hoboken, a very family-friendly neighborhood, and I was appalled the other week when the fitting room attendant left me with no option but to put my infant on the dirty floor so I could try on clothes. Because the fitting room is down a flight of stairs, I couldn’t carry my baby and stroller alone so I had to leave the stroller upstairs (no one offered to help me). Once in the fitting room, I asked if there was a bench or seat or something we could put together so I could put her down while I tried on my clothes - I was told coldly and with an attitude that the only option was a hard wooden block that obviously was not a safe option. So that left me with the dusty floor. As you can imagine, I quickly ran out and took my business elsewhere....

I wish there was 0 stars, one of my good friends recommended me the store in Manhattan but never got around to actually going, today I was walking in Hoboken to get a birthday cake and saw this place and was so exited to go in and see their house products, let me tell you it was the worst mistake I ever made as soon as I went in the people who work there just kept looking at everything I was doing like I was about to steal something mind you I don’t even have a big bag just my wallet in my hands, never have I ever felt so judged little to say I’ll never be returning and what a...
