5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill is a cool spot to sit outside. I love their patio area. They have the patio tables and chairs on sand. Bonus, there’s a nice fire pit in the center of the patio with Adirondack chairs. Ahhhh. It’s also located directly across the street from the Margaritaville Resort where my friend was staying. Convenient.
Been here before with our family and we had a nice time. Food was good and we just loved the whole patio vibes.
Manny was our server during this visit and he was so great! Super nice and laid back attitude. Don’t mistaken laid back for lazy because he was a hustler and very attentive. Also very personable too. Above and beyond service fo sho!
We ordered a few different things:
• Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos • Lobster Roll • Crispy Chicken Sandwich • Barbacoa Tacos • Kids Chicken Tenders • Kids Grilled Cheese • Kids Sliders • Key Lime Pie • Churros • Aperol Spritz • La Marca Prosecco • Virgin Pina Colada • Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri
Drinks were good. Can’t really mess up an Aperol Spritz or Prosecco. Lol. The kid’s Virgin Pina colada was a bit heavy and sweet. Like I can taste the canned Coco Lopez. I think it needed more ice for sure.
I really wanted grilled fish tacos and asked if they could make that. Manny said he could make the Mahi Mahi Sliders into tacos. Perfecto. My friend’s Lobster Roll was buttery and tasty too. The fries were perfection as they were super fresh and crispy with just the right amount of season. Kids enjoyed their meals.
Key Lime Pie was good but wish it was colder and firmer actually. It was too soft for my liking and warm. Ha. Churros were small portions but kids didn’t complain.
We stayed and hung out at the fire pit after dinner. It’s such a perfect vibe to hang and relax. My bestie was in town and we were catching up. Manny was awesome and said we could stay as long as we like as long as we cleaned after ourselves. They were breaking everything down around us, which was fine by us. Haha. We left at 10pm when they closed. Cool spot when the weather is perfect!...
Read moreIm given this place 3 stars because i was expecting more from it, there were some bad things i observed and will share but at the same time some good things, let me explain; I dont know, maybe its just me, but I like to be greeted upon walking in by the hostess and immediately walked to my seat and promptly be approached by a server. My GF and I waited over 15mins for our server to come to us on a afternoon that only 2 small families were out eatting. We finally get our server and we wanted their coconut ice cream which comes in a coconut shell but they didnt have it, we then placed a different drink order and took 10mins to be served to us, I figured it was worth the wait..WRONG!, the drinks tasted watered down, and not tasty as it looked. The server then apologized and made a recommandation and we went with it, and this time it was tasty. So its needless to say that the server redeemed herself from the previous wait time. Not everything in this review is bad, some good things, the scenery is fantastic especially at sunset. The lazy wooden chairs facing the water is a nice touch to the over all "beach" experience. The food was good too as well, we had a sampler and it was delicious. The bathrooms are clean, the eatting area is also clean as well which is a plus considering all the sand around you. Parking sucks, because you have to park across the streets in a parking garage thats over pricing on the amount of time you stay stationed. Besides the construction work being done around the general area taking away from the experience, still a nice place to...
Read moreThis restaurant is situated smack on the intercoastal. The seawall is at walking level. The view is therefore UNOBSTRUCTED! While you wait for your meal you are looking at dream boats and mega yachts pass by. Some of them waive! Back to the restaurant- Brian our server was outstanding. He was pleasant and served everyone with a smile! Nice smile too! We ordered the crabcake appetizer. It was fresh, moist, flavorful and delicious. Our main course was also full of flavor. We enjoyed the fresh Corvina with brown rice and green beans. This place is exquisite! Did I mention that you walk on Sand???!! Yeah! The floor out here is beach sand. The enormous fire pits, and live music makes 5 O'clock somewhere, a must Go!
I loved it! The full package: Ambiance, food, service, music, views, awesome!
Oh, two last things:
Amazing versatility here. You...
