There are times in life when you need to stop and smell the roses. Remind yourself why you work so damn hard. This was one of those times for us and I am so glad we came here! Sitting next to an ocean view window, being treated to some excellent service with a genuine smile, eating some of the best food we have eaten, and with your better half, what more could you ask for! The menu contains a four course meal. For a starter we ordered pork belly, and the meatball. This set the tone for what was to come. Both were so good and could have been a main dish with a bigger portion size! Second course was the walnut beau cheese salad, and lobster bisque. Both incredible. Main course short braised ribs and the prime ribeye. The short braised rib was so flavorful and tender with an excellent sauce on the plate to mop up with each bite. The prime ribeye was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. I am a steak eater and cooker(made that term up lol) and know what a good steak is supposed to taste like. This my friends is the way it's done! Pan fried to perfection. A nice crust with a tender middle. To add to the perfection, a roasted clover of garlic is served on top for you to spear over the meat. What an amazing, creative detail to get the garlic flavor onto a steak! Our sides were all beyond delicious, mashed potatoes, creamy spinach, asparagus(that were some of the thinest, most tender you can find. And the broccolini rounded out the amazing sides. Have to have to desert after a meal like this and they did not miss here either. Banana cream pie and cocunut cream pie. The Banana pie was good but my favorite was the cocunut cream pie. Served up looking just like a cocunt that had been cut in half! They create a choclate ball that is cut in half to resemble the outside of a cocunut, and then fill it with the cocunut cream pie filling! Tasted so good! A nice selection of wines are available and I am pretty sure you can order the whole bottle. The chef personally came to our table to check on everything. I could tell by the food, and his vibe that he took his cooking very seriously and has a lot of pride in what he does! You can truly taste this in every bite. Margaritaville you have an absolute winner in your chef and I hope you take care of him well! 3 days left and we are already thinking we have to go again to try other items on thr menu! Don't forget to purchase this prior to leaving, as it is alot cheaper than booking and paying while at sea. THANK YOU CHEF AND EVERYONE AT...
Read moreJWB is a first class restaurant located in the Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville resort on Hollywood Beach. You can come in casual or dressy attire and enjoy an exquisite dining experience in an atmosphere that is superb and friendly. They are famous for their signature steaks and freshest seafood, including a fresh catch of the day with the description of the (same) day it was caught, the way it was caught and the person who caught it or in my case, the diver who speared my Lionfish! I added the enhancement of scallops which was an excellent complement to the dish, but you can choose from adding lobster, shrimp etc. Whatever you may order you can expect a generous portion of a beautifully arranged plate that will delight your palate. Our waiter, Marcello, was the most gracious, kind and attentive gentleman who checked with us every step of the way without being bothersome. My companion had an equally attractive, generous and fresh as ever sashimi main course. We are Hollywood residents and love to bring our family and friends when visiting from out of town, or just to come with local friends especially for a celebration of any kind. There is no way to be disappointed as they are happy to make sure that you are completely satisfied. Oh yeah, the wine and drink menu are as good as it gets, no chance of disappoints there either. Don't miss out on the opportunity to try this place as you can expect to be pleasantly surprised! Then enjoy walking on our fabulous broadwalk, it's a perfect time you will want to return to more and more. Also, special thanks to Chef...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. This place is extremely overpriced for what it is.
When the bread arrived we noticed it was very badly burnt on the bottom (like pitch black), top was fine. Immediately asked for a second batch and it looked like they just scraped they burnt part off. After looking at other tables and realizing all the bread was burnt we gave up and just decided to order.
For drinks we got the perfect partner and a spicy watermelon mocktail. The PP had some pulp in it, which wasn't pleasant at all, and was overall very weak. Mocktail was okay.
Started with some soups, wife got the lobster bisque and I ordered the french onion. Both were bland and reminded me of something you'd find at a corner deli. The bisque was not creamy at all and was very heavy in the spice department. Would have been fine if they labeled it as such but it was so overpowering you couldn't taste the lobster. As for the french onion, there was barely any onion in it and all we could taste was beef broth, no hint of sherry at all.
At this point we decided dinner might just be a waste of money so we opted for the lobster hash brown and a salad.
Salad was fine, not very hard to mess that up. Lobster hash brown was surprisingly good, though they served it with that horrible bisque which did not complement each other at all.
The waitress was pleasant and accommodating so the experience wasn't terrible, but we would most likely not return. If they put that little effort into the starters and such I dare not test...
