I have been dunning and ordering out food from Golden Duck Restaurant for the past 4 years the quality of food has never varied it is excellent. But as I placed my order last Saturday off the menu from the prices I got online from their site then went into the restaurant and found out everything had been raised up $250 to $3 more per item. I inquired why the price at the restaurant checkout was different from the prices online at their official website they said they were having problems changing the prices on the website somehow they were locked out. At what was most disappointing was the quantity of food they've gone to serving into smaller boxes and giving about 1/3 less proportions to half less. I would or always order egg foo young and in the past in the larger box I would get to full size patties have egg foo young with sauce on top. Yet this Saturday when I picked up the egg foo young I got one large Patty cutting 4th stuck into a smaller box. The cashew chicken which usually would come with rice on the side with the larger box serving barely provided two good meals were usually with myself since I'm not a large eater only provided me with one and I was given no rice on the side. Since when does rice cost so much it doesn't come with your meal? From going in expecting to spend about $46 walking out after paying $63 and having much smaller servings I'm at the thought of finding another restaurant. It was very disappointing that my favorite restaurant...
Read moreOne diner's experience: "My family and I were having dinner at a chinese restaurant (Golden Duck) and an older couple (60s) with an older asian woman (mid 70s) was seated a few tables away. The man started playing ukuklele and I complimented him on it. Then the older lady started dancing hula right in front of our table. It was very casual, she had on shorts and a tshirt. I cheered her on, complimented her and then our food came. She kept dancing until it started getting awkward. It looked like she was doing a private hula dance just for us. Finally another older person told us, loudly in front of everyone - You're supposed to tip her for dancing for you. At that point, I would've tipped her, purely to get her to stop dancing in front of our table but I didn't have any cash on me. She kept dancing even though I apologetically told her that although I appreciated the dance, I didn't have cash to tip her. Still. She. Kept. Dancing. I didn't know what else to do so I just awkwardly ate my food with my family. We couldn't get any refills on our drinks as she was blocking the way and who's gonna tell an tiny elderly lady to stop dancing the hula because she's in the way? Finally someone on another table gave her money and she stopped dancing. Now I always carry cash with me. Just in case someone won't stop dancing while I eat dinner."

Read moreI always give a place a second chance...and the second time was a terrible as well. Firstly, the prices that you see online, are out dated. So DO NOT think you'll be getting the price you see online, when you go to pick up your food if you're ordering take out, as they charge you a lot more.
My second experience with Golden Duck, is when I ordered 8 pieces of crispy gaugee. I went in, looked in the bag, counted 8 and left. Just a few moments later (two blocks away), I noticed they had not packed the sauce. So I turned around, went back in, and kindly asked for the sauce that should've came with my order. The cashier got really frustrated and began raising her voice at me lol. She then proceeded to insist that two sauces came with my order and that nothing else could be done...I realized the situation and just left.
I don't support any establishment that can care so little for it's customers, let alone flat out accuse a customer of lying. Don't eat there, there are alternative chinese restaurants in the area, that give amazingly...
