Mahaloha Burger Ala Moana — Restaurant in Honolulu

We enjoy walking around Ala Moana window shopping and getting our steps in which ultimately builds quite the appetite. I learned there is more than one food court here and this is in one of the "other" ones. We discovered the bar across the way and that they allowed you to bring food in so this was a match made in heaven.

Their fries are hella nice. I've tried both the truffle fries as well as the garlic fries and they were both packed with flavor. They were fried really well too. They were nice and crispy and crunchy on the outside but still nice and meaty on the inside. This time my fries unfortunately came out cold and for $6, that's just not cool. Thankfully when I brought them back, they felt them, realized they were indeed cold and made me a new batch, no questions asked. That was nice.

I've had the BBQ bacon burger like 3 times now and it's really good. Lots of flavor and thru even ask you how you want your burger cooked?! That's what's up! It's a 1/3 lb patty, which for is the protect amount of meat for my burger.

Plenty of seating here since it's a food court. They'll give you a buzzer to notify you when your food is ready. Our favorite is to bring our food to the Agave & Vino bar to eat and enjoy a beverage. Great little spot overall. Great spot if...

A cool spot. Tried today when mega hungry after working outside. Burgers....not great. Kind of thin and not seasoned. Was excited bc grass fed. Bun is very good, variety of toppings is nice. Will go back to try the fish, chicken, or spam options. The true star is the fries. They are ...actual fries! With good flavor, texture, and variety. The bacon and cheese looked good. I tried the truffle, which were great, even though I forgot to add garlic. Has potential if the burger could be seasoned and shaped differently, less like a flat piece of rubber. This is my families first time eating here. It was excellent in every way. This is unusual especially at Ala Moana but I must say I was disappointed that they were out of Dole Whip.

The thing is, the food was very fresh as far as taste and quality. The bread was toasted proper. The produce was fresh and crisp. The presentation was clean and perfect. We got the sliders, a double with bacon, sweet potato fries and I got the Mahi Mahi Burger(grilled) which was seasoned light and proper. It was not over or undercooked at all. Everything about our experience exceeded my expectations 5 fold. The best kitchen staff and hostess ever. No joke! They need a raise and open...
