Having a photo shoot tomorrow with my new wife and we paid a ton of money. So naturally I wanted to look my absolute best.
Got a haircut and full beard trim/shave back home 4days ago. Cut my hand on some coral and wasnât confident shaping myself up with non-dominant hand (usually clean up stubble myself in-between cuts). So BOTH upper lines on each cheek AND around neck/chin were still visible. Figured why not stop into this barbershop whoâs storefront advertises they shave/shape beards.
Explained to receptionist what I wanted done. A female barber was standing at front desk listening and immediately said sheâd take me now (not sure her name was mentioned). Before my butt was even in the seat she heard me say, âI DO NOT WANT lines pushed past/further than where they currently areâ. Also, I repeated âPLEASE KEEP UPPER LINES AS HIGH AS YOU CANâ, twice (definitely wasnât shouting though lol).
So she knocked or dropped top lines down quite a bit and added a weird uneaten curve on both.. Problem is Iâve gotten very tan being in the sun for 4days. So now I have TWO lighter/paler stripes in between where EXISTING LINE WAS and her new funky line isđ¤Śđ˝ââď¸.
Hereâs some ADVICE for the barber who botched me today. PLEAST DRY SHAVE thicker facial hair especially on upper lines when itâs stubble into existing beard. B/c you l did an amazing job tracing line with buzzer. BUT AFTER you lubed me up you pushed line WAY down and make it all curved and low and weird. Sooo DRY SHAVE upper lines.
Anyway she did a great job on bottom line for chin/neck and back of neck. Baby smooth. Just needs to chill out on upper lines as they are ALWAYS MOST IMPORTANT especially with fresh tans đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸.
Praying photographer will edit these white cheek...
Read moreIâm not one to leave bad reviews about places but the more I have thought about it and looked at myself in the mirror. The more it has bothered me.
DO NOT GO TO THIS BARBER.
They charge close to $100USD for a fifth of a haircut. Where I come from that is $151 Australian dollars. If you go to a fancy place that reckons it is in the âpremierâ category in Australia it will cost you around $50-$60 for a full haircut and shave. And that is not cheap by any means.
After doing some research this is an absurd amount by US standards too. You should lower your prices and stop trying to rip people off who are visiting your country. No Aloha in this price.
Iâm not exaggerating when I say that this is the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life, and I let my roommate cut my hair during covid and she was no barber.
The only upside I had of the day is that the staff are nice and they offer you a nice cold beverage of your choice whilst you wait.
Have a look at the photos to see what I paid just under $100USD for and call me a chump. Because thatâs what I feel like for being nice and not wanting to embarrass anybody at work and ask for my money back.
If youâre going to charge âPremierâ prices. Provide a...

We were regular customers: husband and two children! We will never come here to get a haircut again because every time you go to a new hairdresser, and today we got a master who did everything very crookedly, only one haircut was corrected
after I had sat in line for an hour and a half, and before that, an hour while they were cutting hair, and when it was the turn to cut the juniorâs hair ,administrator really didnât like the fact that the three-year-old child did not sit, but rather stood near the water, and sometimes danced and played with a small paper star near the water cooler, throwing her up and catching her
the administrator asked us to leave to which I replied to her: of course, youâre sorry, but we are tired and want to sit in the salon to wait for our turn, and then she started talking rudely and it also didnât matter to her that we came to the salon a second time not because of our mistake, but because the childrenâs haircut...
