Seoul Cook — Restaurant in Honolulu

The service at this restaurant is beyond atrocious--especially from one particular blonde lady with crusty split ends and cakey concealer. Not only was she unprofessional, but she had the audacity to demand a tip in the most entitled and aggressive way possible. I tried to be the bigger person and provide a tip to resolve the problem, she escalated the situation by throwing a full-blown tantrum. as if she were a spoiled child denied a toy. Even after my friend generously stepped in and dropped TEN DOLLARS into the tip jar (keep in mind, our total bill was only $18), this woman continued to whine and complain loudly for everyone to hear. But the worst part? She openly insulted my culture, saying. "I don't know about YOUR culture, but here in America everyone tips servers. I was left speechless and humiliated. As someone of Chinese descent, I couldn't believe the blatant ignorance and racism coming from someone who is supposed to provide customer service. The entire ordeal was uncomfortable and deeply unsettling. Not to mention she literally did the bare minimum as a server, as in just giving us our food, no refilling our water, no checkups, no "how's the food" etc... NOTHING Avoid this place at all costs-not only is the service unprofessional and borderline discriminatory, but the hostile environment makes for a dining experience you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. Will not be coming back to this restaurant until this blonde...

We have been eating here for quite awhile, and I should have left a review sooner. So, the evening of the July 2025 tsunami alert, we ran to Seoul Cook after getting home to grab some food. It was a bit chaotic due to the emergency, but they took our order and got us our food quick. We usually dine in, but that day was an exception. In all the chaos to get back home, one of our many orders ended up missing. The following afternoon we went over to ask about the missing order. They immediately said no worries and made a new one up at no charge. Keep your receipts! This place is great. Good...

My husband and I enjoyed it the first 3 times we got takeout. We get the bibimbap and meat jun for lunch. The bibimbap flavor is good and the serving size is decent, except they definitely skimp on the meat portions. The 4th time we ordered (first week of Jan 2024), everything was saltier. The kimichi tasted like it was doused in salt. It turns out they had a conditional pass for their health inspection that week, which also explains why our leftover food smelled rotten the next day.
