We live in Moana Surfrider. There is a 4.5 star hotel. We have a free breakfast included in this restaurant. We went to there three days ago for the breakfast buffet. The food is normal, but the service was poor.

For a waitress in the restaurant who offered a service to our table, I have to say, her service was so terrible. I think she is racist. We are Chinese, but I already live in California for five years. This is the first time I ever met this terrible attitude. I asked the lady for napkin, then she throw me a fabric napkin with scorn. A few minutes later, she came back to add coffee for us. I ask her again, Do we have paper napkin, or tissues? She said she can not understand what I need? I am confused what we call paper napkin in another way. Then, she ask me, is for your nose? I am not sure our restaurant has this, l need to find. Excuse me? We saw her gave another table a few napkin before. I don’t know why did she say like this? Another thing is, I ask her to take our empty plates. She took our bowl with full fruit instead. I can not understand why she has this attitude. I don’t think I have any problems with my speaking. At least, I add ‘please ‘in my every sentence. This is a awful experience in a 4.5 star hotel. We never want to come back. This tour is for my mother’s birthday, we spent a lot for the hotel. I feel so disappointed to stay here. I think the manager of this restaurant should be aware that this is not even meeting average in...

We were overwhelmed with the the dining experience at Veranda at the Beachhouse in the Moana Surfrider. It was like stepping into a magical time machine! Located next to the iconic 100-year-old banyan tree, this spot is the housed in the oldest hotel in Hawaii, and you can feel the history. The colonial vibes and stunning beach views made us feel like we were transported back to the 1930s—pure elegance with a side of ocean breeze.

The food? Next level. Every dish showed with such care, using super fresh, high-quality ingredients. The mochi waffle was an absolute bomb, it’s to die for! Loved the pancakes with popping boba filled with lilikoi juice; it’s like they thought of every tiny detail to make it special. The menu isn’t huge, but everything is top-notch. Oh, and the mango smoothie? Perfection in a glass.

The staff here embody that warm Hawaiian hospitality. When they heard we were celebrating our anniversary, they went out of their way to seat us at a prime beach-view table—what a treat! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We were bummed we couldn’t try their famous afternoon tea (our friend Nadine can’t stop raving about it), but it’s only served on weekends, and we had to head back home on Friday.

If you’re looking for a magical dining experience with incredible food and views, Veranda at the Beachouse is a must. We’re already dreaming of...

My quest for the perfect tea spot led me to The Veranda at the Beachhouse in Hawaii, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, this experience was truly enchanting.

First things first, make sure to plan ahead and make reservations at least two weeks in advance, especially if you're considering a weekend visit. The attentive staff ensures everything runs smoothly from the moment you arrive. They even offer complimentary valet parking, which is a lovely touch!

The moment you step into the restaurant, you're transported to what feels like a scene out of a Disney movie. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing tea time.

The tea selection process is a delightful experience in itself. You get to choose your tea by scent, and you're welcome to switch it up if you change your mind. It's a personalized touch that adds to the charm of the place.

As for the tea and treats, my taste buds were in for a treat! The mango sauce is an absolute must-try; it's a flavor revelation. Everything from the tea to the delectable treats was spot-on and utterly delightful.

The Veranda at the Beachhouse set the tone for my Hawaii trip, and it was love at first sip. If you're seeking a magical tea experience in a breathtaking setting, this is the place to be....

Here's the difference: Afternoon Tea = includes delicate pastries, little sandwiches, scones & cakes. High Noon/Tea = a wholesome meal of meat, potatoes & vegetables served after a long hard day at work. Now that Tea 101 is out of the way...as a child, I never had tea parties, just a cup of tea at home or with family in a casual environment. When I got the invite, I almost declined to come as I thought "It's too hot for tea on this 80-degree island"...so glad I came. Yes, there's a Vegan Tea Set, yes, there are perfectly paired Tea Sets for everyone's palate including a GF option, yes there are sweet & savory bites, & yes there is a selection of Moana & traditional teas, mimosas, prosecco, cocktails & even The Duke offering a Surfrider Burger with Fries & Onion Rings. Yet, above all else, it was the elegant, Victorian feeling of dining under the canopy of the banyan trees with the Waikiki Beach aka the "First Lady of Waikiki" waves serving as background music that did it for me. Our Server Annie had such an attitude of gratitude in serving us which simply topped off this unforgettable experience. Reservations are on Open Table & the Vernanda is serving Afternoon Tea Friday - Sunday 11:30A - 2:30P. If you visit Honolulu, it's a must you have a Tea Party at The Veranda at The Beachhouse.
