Do not go to this location, New Freedom/Shewsberry, PA. Just before the Thanksgiving holiday. I had an order for 3 large size double whopper meals, 2 spicy crispy chicken sandwiches, 3 mozzarella sticks 8 count. We had an extremely long wait at the drive through window for the fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. After pulling away and getting on the highway again we started eating the sides. The fries were stonecold and appeared to have been reheated and mushy, the mozzarella sticks were stonecold, the 1 order of onion rings was the only thing that was hot. Then when we started to eat the double whopper's ,they were all only singles and also cold. Called and never got an answer, called the next day, same thing no answer, called on a Monday and talked to a women manager, she was very polite and offered to refill the complete order or a full refund, after being explained the whole situation. I told her we only get out there for my wife's cancer treatments and would not be heading back for about 21 days and it would be the middle of December she said that would be okay she would post my name on the office wall with the instructions to refill the complete order for the $48.08 and for me to bring that receipt in with me. When we stopped there after coming from an appointment and I went inside as instructed and presented my original receipt and the first manager went to the office and another manager came out his name was Tim and he said he was the general manager, he said they no longer have mozzarella sticks that it was a promo and he would not be able to refill the order because it was almost a month he said he would give me a couple burgers but that was it. He said he would not honor what the other manager negotiated, that I had talked to on the phone and I should have taken the refund then or should have returned that day of the event, but when you jump on 83 it's just not that easy to turn around, he said he would just give me a couple burgers, what else would I want. Told him to refill the complete order and instead of the mozzarella sticks they no longer had to give me onion rings, he said there was no way he would do that or the refund. Told him that he was not honoring what the manager duty offered on the phone because she was very mad that the order ended the way it did. I informed him that I would contact corporate or the district manager, he said that was fine and that a couple of burgers is all he could do, it became obvious that he must not be the general manager. I contacted corporate and the said they would sent a $20 gift card or he would escalate the problem and send it to upper management for this store, for a complete refund but they may request I return with the receipt to return the funds to my credit card, this was 3 days ago, yes we stopped on the day of the snowstorm, and said I would get a call back from upper management, that he wasn't sure of the turn around time. Still have not received a call back! When you're manager of a store and you have managers under you, you should always back those managers decisions when it is customer related, I informed Tim of this. I have been in management for over 30 years, if your manager did wrong you correct the manager not the customer, you honor what was offered and back that manager to the fullest. Tim only disparaged Burger King the company that pays his salary, of which he is a manager, but obviously not part of the "management team!" If corporate reads this I think Tim should be retrained in management and reprimanded for his inability to manage, he surely should not be a general manager, if he worked for me I would terminate someone who reacted to a customer in this manner. It apparent that Burger King doesn't follow these but, it not even followed on a store level, they have never responded to any bad responses, as do other businesses in this area. Check you orders before leave as this is highway robbery, you would need to reported it to the police right away, or you credit card company, because management here will not resolve...
Read moreWhile on the hunt for the perfect Bernese mountain dog Christmas decoration, Kelly and I embarked on an adventure to the Burger King in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. Our hunger was as big as the appetites of our beloved Berners, so we braved the drive-thru.
As we sat there, contemplating whether our future outdoor doggy decor would be a hit with the neighbors, time seemed to slow down. We gazed at the menu, wondering if the King himself would approve of our choices. But then, lo and behold, after what felt like an eternity, our hot and fresh burgers arrived. It was almost like they were slow-cooked to perfection, right there in the drive-thru lane!
The staff, possibly dog lovers themselves, greeted us with smiles that could rival the wagging tails of our Bernese mountain pups. Unfortunately, the line ahead of us resembled rush hour traffic on a busy York street, and our order got stuck in the fast-food equivalent of a canine traffic jam. But no harm done; our hunger pangs were soon satisfied.
In the end, we left the Burger King with full bellies and the anticipation of our new Bernese mountain dog Christmas decoration bringing joy to our neighborhood. It might not have been the fastest meal, but it was certainly an adventure. Who knew fast food and holiday decorations could go paw...
Read moreUsed the BK app to order breakfast, used my crowns for a freebie and other paid items, waited at the drive-through window with others, and then the problem began. people were pulling away and just driving off. I went up to the pick up window because no one said anything through the drive-through speaker.
No one was there â it looked like some scene from The Walking Dead.
After waiting for a few minutes, since I already ordered and paid for my breakfast, someone came by and said they were closed.
They could not tell me when they were going to open because of vacations and other hiring issues, they might open sometime between 8 and 9 AM, but it might be later or potentially not at all. They would not give me a refund for the meal I paid for, and said youâll have to contact Burger King to see if they will refund your money.
Canât understand why I have to go through this nonsense with this particular BK location. Since McDonaldâs was only less than a minute away, I went there. Having the free crowns at Burger King is absolutely not worth going to a third rate fast...
