As someone who works the overnight shift, I often rely on quick and convenient dining options during my lunch break. For over a year, the Jack-in-the-Box on San Felipe has been my go-to choice, sometimes multiple times per week. The convenience and speed have made it a staple in my routineâuntil tonight.
What happened tonight was different and frankly, unacceptable. With the weather being particularly hot, I decided to add a simple cup of ice to my order. To my shock, I was told that this would cost $3.50. Yes, $3.50 for a Styrofoam cup and some ice.
This pricing is not just surprising; itâs absurd. To put this in perspective, this is more expensive than some of the items on your value menu! I understand that businesses have costs, but charging a customer $3.50 for a cup of ice feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of your patrons.
Given that I have been a loyal customer at this location for over a year, this encounter has left a sour taste in my mouthâquite literally. Sadly, tonight will be my last visit.

They cant seem to handle crowds well at all. When I was ordering through the drive through he rushed me, did not listen to my order well, and then when he was reading it back and I asked for him to repeat it because I could not hear him he still spoke too fast and interrupted the woman that was trying to assist since he was being so short and rushing. I did not get to see the screen either to double check if my order was right and he replied with âjust pull up to the second windowâ. When I pulled up he only told me the price and I had to remind him that I did not get to verify my order was right. When I stated that he pointed at me with finger in the manner of asking me to hold on and ignored me and proceeded to take the next customer order.
