I don't normally leave work reviews, let alone long winded ones like this, but this place deserves it. To begin, since this is one of the first questions I ask when I see the words vegan: Yes, all the food and drinks they serve are vegan. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: My family and I absolutely loved this new vegan restaurant! Not only was the decor amazing (Fantastic job to the owner's wife on her interior design skills! She even created a pretty seating area at the front door for taking pictures.), but the food was yummy too. DO THEY DELIVER: From what I saw by the people going in and out to pick up mobile orders, they also deliver via one of those food delivery apps, so I'll need to figure out and save this place when I find it on my app. MY EXPERIENCE HERE: I went here for my daughter and oldest niece's combined birthday dinner. Just to paint the picture, between my best friend and I and our combined three rambunctious children, I am vegan, my daughter's vegetarian, and the rest were omnivores, yet everyone loved the food and the food proportions were very generous so we took plenty to go as well. ALLERGENS: I loved how the menu notified the reader of whether or not common allergens like wheat could be found in the meal and gave alternatives. QUALITY OF SERVICE: The owner was kind enough to be the one doing the serving that night and even put on a happy birthday song for our two birthday girls. He also offered to let us try the gyro meat so the kids could get a feel for the taste ahead of ordering. The homemade sauce on the gyro samplers was yummy too. Not only that, but he was patient with us staying a bit after closing time to finish our desserts. POTENTIAL SUGGESTION: If I had to give any suggestions on how to better the customer experience then there would be to possibly reduce the literal size of the menus so they'd fit better on the tables when multiple people need to look at the menus at the same time. SUGGESTION FOR THE OWNERS: It might be a good idea to offer the homemade vegan meat and sauces for purchase in a freezer for the customers to purchase for takeout. The option for this bulk purchase for takeout could then be put somewhere on the menu for the customer to read and then buy. (Aside from the vegan gyro and falafel being absolutely scrumptious, they have twenty yummy sauces you'll definitely want to try as well!) Personally, I feel they'd make more money this way. (If you're the owner reading this and are curious as to a vegan restaurant succeeding in this endeavor, look up a restaurant in Dallas called El Palote Panadería. They sell their various vegan meats this way. They put them next to their register where the customer can see and ask about it in a see-through glass freezer with a sign that lists the type of meat and their corresponding prices. They also sell their dessert in a similar way in a separate freezer so people can request it for special occasions or if they just want cake. Hopefully this helps because I know I'd be willing to buy the gyro and falafel meat in bulk to heat up or cook at home to include in recipes. I would suggest selling them by either 1/2 lb packages or by the pound. Calling El Palote Panadería for their methods could work too) OVERALL: Overall, we all had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming again! I HIGHLY...

This place is not just good, it's phenomenal. From the second you walk in, you're enveloped in a vibrant, yet calming energy. The decor is on point, with tons of Instagram-worthy spots that'll make your friends drool. But the real star of the show is the food.
The menu is a vegan dream come true! Seriously, everything is incredible. I'm obsessed with the Loaded Falafel Nachos - crispy pita chips piled high with creamy hummus, tangy tzatziki, perfectly spiced falafel, and all the fresh veggie goodness. And their Beyond Burger? Forget about it! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection.
But hold on, there's more! The Tofu "Egg" Salad Sandwiches are a game-changer, the Jackfruit "Carnitas" Tacos are bursting with flavor, and the Crispy Baked Mac 'N' Cheese? Pure comfort food heaven.
Honestly, I could go on and on about every single dish. And don't even get me started on the owner! They are the kindest, most welcoming person you'll ever meet. They truly care about their customers and go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing experience.
The best part? The portions are HUGE and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Just Falafel Vegan Cafe is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Houston, vegan or not. Trust me, you'll be back...
Read moreI’m a little late posting this (visited back in July), so sorry, but Just Falafel Cafe definitely deserves the spotlight so here I am!
I had been wanting to visit for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The ambience is elevated and welcoming, with a modern, high-end feel — perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends.
What really stood out to me was the heart behind the business. The owners are vegan and have clearly poured their passion into this cafe, from the thoughtful menu to the warm, personal service. One of the owners was there during our visit — such a kind, genuine gentleman who made us feel right at home.
Now, onto the food — phenomenal. We tried: Original Falafel Wrap, Curly Fries (easily the best fries I've ever had), Crispy Baked Mac n Cheese, and Mediterranean Harvest Pasta. Also tried a refreshing green mint-flavored drink — I wish I could remember the name because it was an absolute winner. Cool, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the meal.
I went there with my kids, and they loved every single bite. Whatever we couldn't finish, they were excited to eat again later that evening — that says everything!
If you're in Houston — whether you're vegan or not — Just Falafel Cafe should absolutely be on your must-try list. We can't wait to return on our...
