My daughter and I were SO excited to finally get to try this place out. I’ve seen friends sharing an Instagram video over social media and it looked absolutely adorable. We went on a Saturday for late brunch. If you have not been to this particular shopping/dining area then this place is extremely difficult to find. It’s new (but been open several months at this point) - none of the directories or maps have it marked. You have to ask people in the various shops for directions and then look for the purple flowers hanging above the door, they don’t have a sign out front - just tiny lettering on the window. We drove around for about 15 minutes looking for it and I finally just called and let them know we were where GPS sent us via their address and couldn’t find them. They said it was okay because they were running very behind. Finally found it. Then, we waited for about 30-45 minutes to be seated… and then waited, and waited, and waited - no server, no water — 20-30 minutes before a waiter came by to bring us water. We were starving so immediately ordered the bread basket and a chocolate croissant. We wanted it right away and waited another 10-15 min to order our entrees. About an hour went by, no bread basket. Our entrees arrived, still no bread basket or croissant. We had begun eating and suddenly someone remembered and our server brought it to us. I wanted to send it back considering it was pointless by then but my daughter really wanted to try the croissant and scones so we kept them and planned to just take them home. We tried nibbles of everything while it was warm. Not worth $8 for the croissant - it was a Costco croissant with melted chocolate chips drizzled on top. No chocolate inside. The scones were yummy though.
I had the eggs Benedict and my daughter ordered the bourbon French toast. Our meals were warm, but not hot, I imagine they had been sitting there for a bit. And with the AC blowing down on our table our food was ice cold within just a few minutes. Needless to say the food left us pretty underwhelmed. This was not what we were expecting. I’ve had better at IHOP. We had been looking forward to this reservation for over a month. It did not live up to the hype, sadly. The decor was beautiful though. If you’re looking for a fancy Instagram-worthy restaurant, this is your place. But with how many people go just for photos, it’s borderline tacky. I was expecting a dainty-girly vibe. It was extremely loud. And honestly we we couldn’t get out of there soon enough. I really don’t think we’d go back. $100 for brunch for two, just can’t justify it. I hope management can get the timing issues worked out and have their chef rework...

Food quality and quantity: the four of us ordered afternoon tea, didn’t receive petit fours which I only realized now it was in menu description when writing the review, I’m strongly guessing the macarons are from Costco (for reference Im including a pic of the package, couldn’t resist hehehe), the Santana tea was a hibiscus and very tasty , house blend tea was too lemony, the jasmine was extremely bitter and the English breakfast was decent, the three sandwiches were underwhelming and for four women ordering the service we were unimpressed with the quality and quantity was poor
Wait time: we arrived on time and we had to wait 21 minutes to be seated, we ordered and it took 1 hour 20 minutes for our food to arrive, one woman had to leave to pick up kids before the items arrived so had to cancel her order but it still came as it had been made so she took one item to go, I ended up twenty minutes late to my client appointment
Customer Service: knowing the delay no manager recognized the ridiculousness of the wait time not the fact that a person left before food arrived, they could have come to apologize and offer something to make up for this extremely disappointing experience waiting on food that doesn’t take long to prepare
Reservations: they don’t take phone reservations and their online reservations wouldn’t take reservations for weeks, friend finally got one a month in advance on a Tuesday afternoon, they send a long expectations and requirement list to you when you reserve so we were quite excited to come and then truly deflated by how things went
Style and decor: feminine, modern, tasteful and very elegant, navy blue and pink tones it a plush ultra romantic aesthetic we really enjoyed, refined feel from modern and rustic farmhouse elements mixed up, we especially delighted in the beautiful presentation of our items in China with mixed dainty floral patterns, the exterior design of the shop really shines with the hanging artificial flower displays and picture perfect floral back created a lovely scene, truly a stand out girly glam style, A+ here
Verdict and recommendation: do not order the abysmal afternoon tea service, other brunch items apparently are decent we only learned after from people who dined before, block out three hours to dine here, I’d say it’s a come one time joint, dress up well and take tons of pics with your girls as the place’s primary purpose in life to be in...
Read moreI just left here with the feeling of never wanting to come back after eating here for the first time ever. My girlfriend had always wanted to come here since she loves flowers as she sees a lot of it on the outside near the patio as we pass by since we come to eat and drink at River Oaks District quite often. On the inside, the decor is equally as nice and so therefore, my girlfriend asked me to take a few pictures of her as we were sitting and waiting for our order. She also wanted a 360 degrees panoramic video with her in it along with the impressive decor inside. Soon after, the manager approached me and told me that there was a company policy that I was not allowed to take panoramic videos so "to respect the privacy of other customers there". Although she was polite about it, she also told me that I can take pictures with only my girlfriend in it with a simple background but just not videos since it, "might catch a celebrity in it which they would not appreciate" as she also added which was a really strange reason considering it was near closing time and there was hardly anyone there. First, there were only 3 tables there when we were there and I did not see any celebrity and second, we were in a public place and there were no signs being displayed stating a "photo / video policy" whatsoever - I was just simply called out from taking just ONE video ONE time only which totally embarrassed me and ruined the rest of my dining experience from that moment on. I can understand it if somebody was on their phone constantly taking an enormous amount of videos and also in an inappropriate manner but I literally only took ONE innocent video ONE time of only of my girlfriend. Maybe they have had bad experiences in the past but I just think that this could have been handled more appropriately and professionally since not every male using a camera phone is a threat (guys, be warned). Instead, the incident alienated me, made me feel uncomfortable, and made me feel like I did something wrong. But other than that, our waitress was outstanding and the service was great. The food that we ordered was delightful and we initially were wanting to try out what was on the rest of the menu but unfortunately, due to the way I was overzealously called out and to making me feel as if I was taking some "inappropriate video", we will definitely not be...
