How anyone could rate this place higher than one star is absolutely mind blowing. Hopdoddy is the epitome of a poorly run restaurant and provides, and I mean this sincerely, the WORST customer experience I've ever had at a burger joint. Do you wait in line? Of course you do. Do you wait in line because the food is good? Of course you don't. You wait in line because they have limited seating and they won't take your order until you have a table. Taken at face, this would make sense. Except you then have to wait for just as long as you would if you had just gone to a restaurant. So instead of taking your number and calling you when a table is available, or god forbid they give you a pager, they make you wait in a line with everyone until a table is available. One more time...you wait in a line to be seated. Well maybe they make you wait in line so that you can pay at the register? That way when they bring out your food you can just leave when you're done eating? Wrong again. You wait in a line for a table, you order, then you sit down, wait for 15 minutes as your burgers are prepared (because why would it make sense to take your order when you're actually in line), and then you have to wait on your waiter to bring you your check. You think I'm crazy? Go. Please, go just to spite me, because I am so happy that the people who went to UT and think that they're awesome because they lived in Austin for four years have convinced you this...

We usually come to this place, and we’ve been to others locations too and never had this issue before it’s the first time but not only that my husband didn’t get his food in time and what was supposed to be a dinner date for two ended with me eating by myself and my husband has to wait for his Burguer +30min. He had to ask for his Burguer to be re made because he asked for no pickled mayo on his double jam but when he got his Burguer it had in fact pickled mayo on it, we had to wait the +30min I mentioned before so I ended eating alone because my food was getting cold and when we asked one of the servers the one with a mustache and glasses his response was “I don’t Know, I don’t know what Burguer you have” and i dont think that is customer service at all, I usually don’t even ask for the manager and try to understand their position because we never had to go through this before in any of their locations we usually go including this one but this time I had to, Josue the manager he took care of us but I think this could be prevented if your servers give better costumer service and pay attention to the orders I know rush happens and the kitchen might be busy but situations can be managed in a better Way before us, customer have to go through all this and get what was supposed to be a dinner date completely ruined. My one star goes to the customer service In experienced tonight because food was...

Just finished a Diablo burger dinner here at Hopdoddy where you park for free on the garage's second level but don't park on 1st/ground level as all such spaces are reserved most of the time by permanent renters. Green lights above spaces indicate availability. Place order while standing in queue, but the unique positive at Hopdoddy is that while our party of five was waiting to place order a roaming Hopdoddy employee assigned and reserved a great window table for us so that we needn't worry about seating ourselves in the restaurant full of occupied tables. And sure enough our table was ready and clean by the moment we finished ordering. Food was delivered to table after ordering and sitting. It's odd that the cashier taking our order didn't ask how well or rare we wanted our burgers cooked yet we were all satisfied fully with the meal. The chocolate shake wasn't as rich as I had wanted it to taste. The food, candidly expressing, was okay, but the service was A+ and beyond. I didn't drink alcohol but others in our party did drink beer in ice cold glass containers representing something between a snifter and a goblet, I guess more similar to a goblet. This is a fun venue for groups having light-hearted or humorous...

There's some things I can and can't recommend. 1. While the fries look like they're heavily seasoned, they're not. By themselves, they're actually quite plain although they are the perfect texture. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. 2. If ordering fries, I would get the queso, and again, I'm vegetarian, so I can only recommend their green chili queso, which is made with poblano and actually very, very delicious. 3. Their milkshakes are amazing. Probably the best I've had in Houston. 4. But again, I'm a vegetarian, so I when ordered a burger, I chose the black bean and corn Patty. And although it was good, it wasn't great. It was one of those you're trying to be healthy patties, and I'm not particularly the healthiest vegetarian, but I wanted a burger. Like typical fixings. And call me crazy, but anything resembling meat like their impossible burger grosses me out. Just my personal preferences. So to me, their burgers are meh. But again, I had the veggie version. EDIT: they changed the shake flavors. Smores is amazing. Strawberry shortcake tastes like the real deal. They improved the veggie burger, so I was definitely more satisfied.

Hopdoddy is hands down my favorite burger place. I have been to the original one in Austin many times, and I have to say this one in Houston has the same quality ingredients and awesome taste! The burger menu has a wide variety of burgers and different patties, and the burgers are totally customizable, so you can choose what you like the most. They have tuna burgers, veggie burgers, chicken burgers, turkey burgers, and beef burgers. However, my favorite one is the classic burger with cheese, bacon, and egg. The bun is incredibly soft and delicious, the lettuce, tomatoes and onions are super fresh, and the patty is juicy and tasty. I usually go for medium rare or medium. Then, you have to order some fries. My favorite one, which is not in the menu, is the sweet potatoe truffle fries. If you like sweet potatoes, this is a must have. The crunchy and sweet taste of the potatoes get enhanced with the savory parmesan cheese, and at the end, you have the nice and juicy truffle taste, that make this an explosion of flavors. The staff is always super friendly and awesome. Definetely check this place out if you are in town!

This has to be the best hamburger place in town. I was very sad when a local favorite burger place of Houston shut down and after trying many burger places I have finally found a replacement. These burgers are super delicious. There patties are ultra tasty, flavorful, and juicy. Their vegetables such as the lettuce and tomatoes are extremely fresh. The french fries I can tell our freshly cut and very good. The seasoning that they use adds a very nice touch. If you’re looking for a great burger this is the place to go. They do have a full bar and offer all kinds of unique styles of hamburgers including veggie burgers and turkey burgers. Also in these unique COVID-19 times it is important to note that this place is definitely practicing social distancing. There are clear signs on the floor of where to stand, they have tables marked off, and they have hand sanitizer stations all over the restaurant. The staff themselves are wearing masks and gloves. For those were those precautions is not enough they do offer curbside delivery, takeout, and they are on all the major food delivery apps.
