Don’t order the teriyaki chicken sandwich!!
Ordered two teas and a teriyaki chicken sandwich. Obviously it wasn’t your typical Bánh mì sandwich but its was my first time visiting this shop. I normally go to the Vietnamese restaurant down the street because they have better food. The sauce was spoiled and the chicken was not good. When I went back in to exchange it for something else, I didn’t want to make a scene in front of the other customer, so I waited. I asked the guy who was working today if he can exchange it for chicken wings because they’re the same price. I told him I didn’t care for the sauce and I wanted to get something different. I could tell it was an issue for him because he proceeded to roll his eyes and make excuses. He said, “ you should have asked what was good on the menu”. Which I find disrespectful and baffling because he gave recommendations on the tea, but not the food. After going back-and-forth with him, I lost my appetite and asked him for a refund instead. Because if I’m spending my hard earned money at a restaurant, I deserve professionalism and quality of food. I asked him which one would be quicker, frying six piece chicken wings, or a refund? He said that his boss changed the password to the refund and it’s a different machine, blablabla.
The tease there are great you can’t mess up a drink, but the hospitality and the quality of service and food definitely needs a...
Read moreI went to Bubble Tea House recently with a colleague after lunch. I ordered the Jasmine Green Tea with tapioca and half sugar. My colleague ordered the same thing, but the cream version. My tea was incredibly refreshing and had a great taste. As for the tapioca, I was surprised when I felt those black balls enter my mouth. They were a different consistency than I am used to. The tapioca kept its ball shape in my tea, but as soon as it was in my mouth, I felt how soft it was and how easy it broke apart as I chewed down. Was this a bad thing? No, not necessarily, as I enjoyed the texture, but it's definitely different than what you'll find at other tea shops. I'm a fan so far, and I am curious to try other teas on their menu.
What to order: -Jasmine Green Tea w/ tapioca and half sugar - $3.79

Read moreI visited this place when they were newly opened and received such great service and a perfect Rose cream boba tea. I went back in today - the place was staffed by a different person who was very noncommittal about giving any advice, said “I don’t know“ for basic questions such as what kind of tea might work well for a particular drink. Now, the rose cream boba I ordered was a completely different, horrible tasting drink - a muddy color with the cream split into particles and a sour and sickly sweet taste (I had asked for no sugar… go figure). My son’s fruit boba was bitter and too sweet he couldn’t drink more than a quarter. Also the mixing machine was used very briefly and not as long as it is typically used and recommended for boba. Bring that wonderful staff member back (or was he the owner of the place?) or train your staff to do better. I...
