I ate here a few weeks ago and this was my first time of MANY times eating here that someone was rude to me. BLATANTLY RUDE. There were two people working the counter and i ordered with one while the other was cooking. Before I ordered, my friend ordered with one person who began making her food while i ordered with the other. We ate somewhere out of sight of this restaurant. I didnt finish my bowl so i went up to the counter to ask for a to go box and the other worker who did NOT take my order seemed terribly upset and offended that i was asking for a to go bowl. I told him i had ordered a bowl and with several shoulder shrugs and aggressive hand movements he reached for a to go box and placed it down on the counter , making sure to not make eye contact while he resumed working on the computer. He wanted me to know that he didn’t want to give me that to go bowl. LOVEd (past tense) the food here. Will never patronize again and am making sure to tell everyone i work with. I wont name the company i work for but i get a discount at this place because its right across the street. Anyone want to issue an apology and make this right, I welcome it. Til then, you have lost a customer and I will encourage my coworkers to steer clear so as to avoid being treated...

— Holy moly, one of the best al pastor tacos I’ve ever tasted, and I have eaten over 500 tacos in my life, easy.
The flavors is highly authentic, and the meat is sliced thick and hearty unlike most street tacos which are diced using lower-quality cuts of meat. Plus, the tacos are bustling at the seams in meaty goodness! Pickled onions adorn the top.
Their sweet plantains are a nice touch with a light, sweet cream dip, and the elote has a nice lime-y zing from the tajin.
This restaurant hails from New York, and I’m pleasantly impressed by their creations. Lovely restaurant!
Let’s get real here— downtown dining can be pricier, but that’s a given. These people have to pay rent, too.
Prices are a bit higher than, let’s say, a typical taco truck with $18 for 3 (Al pastor) tacos. However, the outstanding service, deliciously authentic flavors, and filling portions reflect their dedication.
I hope this place thrives! As a Houston native, I’ll be visiting this...
Read moreGreat casual date spot. Got the chicken burrito with chips and guacamole. Everything was delicious! The salad that came with it had a nice vinaigrette that complemented the flavor of the burrito quite nicely. Price seems fair given the amount of food you get, plus, it’s higher quality. Chips are house made and fresh. Not as thin as I usually like them, but still quite tasty.
Some people may not like that it’s in a “food court” like setting, but definitely nicer and good atmosphere nonetheless. Live music sometimes which adds to the experience.
