This is where you bring your best foodie friends for delicious, affordable, delectable mouth-watering food like you've never tasted before... The flavors of the food plus the juiciness and crunchiness together... I was completely stuffed and still thinking about going back to pick up more food for my next meal. We had the chicken strips, chicken bites, seasoned fries and a chicken sandwich. They gave you a choice of spiced or not spiced versions. If you can't really take spicy food then I wouldn't take the kimchi either. All of these were great but the chicken strips were my favorite. The person who took our order did not initially tell us that we had to order the sauces to go with it so we had to walk back up to order them. I wish at least one sauce was included as a standard part of the meal. The delicious sauce was kind of a butter chicken version and the green Sauce is the kind that comes with your samosa but with a little bit more kick. The best was the yanch which is a yogurt ranch mix and tastes better than I describe I can describe 😁 We tried the side of rice which was unremarkable. I thought it might have some kind of flavoring (like cilantro rice at Chipotle?) But it was just plain basmati rice, which tasted okay with some kimchi mixed in but neither were remarkable. The fries were the most unique and one of the best fries I've ever had in terms of flavor. They are completely coated with spice but it's not overwhelming. Yes this is in midtown but they have great parking immediately behind and this is going to be a permanent part of our restaurant options in the future and especially for when people come in from out of town, to show off the best of Houston food!

I'm still reeling from the incredible dining experience at Pok Pok Po! This hidden gem serves up the most mouth-watering, crispy, and juicy Indian-inspired fried chicken I've ever had! The '#1Chicken Sandwich ' was a revelation - the combination of tender chicken, crispy exterior, and it is dipped in delicious sauce that was absolute perfection. And don't even get me started on the 'Loaded Chic Fries' - crispy, flavorful, and addictive! The service was top notch, with friendly staff who knew their stuff. The atmosphere was vibrant and modern, with a fun playlist that added to the energetic vibe. Prices were super reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes and high quality ingredients. I've tried many Fried Chicken restaurants, but Pok Pok Po is the best. The chef's creativity and attention to detail truly set this place apart. A MUST VISIT for anyone who loves fried chicken, Indian food, or just amazing food! I will be back again and again and again. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

A first visit and order to try the chicken at Pok Pok Po. Prior to placing my order I popped into Medium Rare next door. ( To check out the fries in person. I had seen photos of their fries online and the photos did not make them look appetizing so I wanted to go see them in person.). St Pok Pok 6 pieces is $12 and then each sauce is $3. I decided to try all three for a taste test. The burger and fries order was someone else’s and I just took a photo. My order was the chicken with the three sad little mini cups of sauces at three dollars each . Flavor wise the sauces were tasty, just expensive for what you got. The chicken had good crunch and good flavor. Very dark fry but did not taste burned. So I’d say ā€œtry it onceā€. They gave me someone else’s order which was exactly mine except there were fries added, which they took back after I’d opened the box. I wonder if they shouldn’t have just said ā€œkeep these and we’ll make a fresh batch for the other personā€. That is what I would have done if I was the manager,
