Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Houston

Loving KFTs, this was unfortunately a terrible experience.

Walking in, it was busy as 8pm can be. We waited and order normally, honey milk tea and taro milk tea with tapioca on both please. The gentlemen ask if we wanted any toppings, "Yes tapioca on both please"

He hand the couple their drinks before ours. Looked at us, called the order number and placed the drink awkwardly far from the counter for us to reach.

No tapioca, and the drinks were not properly sealed so naturally both our drinks were spilling everywhere. The worker can see our faces but doesn't do anything about our drinks or the mess.

Coming from experience behind the counter, It is standard to quickly do a "quality check" to ensure the seals are good to prevent the drinks from spillage.

If you prefer drink customizations, this is not the tea shop for you. Their drinks are very basic and overpriced, however, I have been a customer for the past few years because it's close and convenient. I stopped by because I needed a break from work and a treat. I usually get a black honey tea, but today I wanted something fruity with black tea. The majority of their punch menu items have green tea only - I hate green tea. I have customized my drinks here before, but today I was told they do not customize and only serve from the menu. The service has been going downhill lately, so I am not surprised just left thirsty and disinterested in continuing to support. I have previously gave this place a 3 star because the drinks were pretty good but customer service was beyond terrible. The first time I came in about a week or two ago the girls who worked there finished our drinks but did not bother calling our number and continued to chit chat. I came back Monday evening thinking to give this place another try and as soon as a walked in there was no greeting from the man that worked there. My brother and I felt as if we were completely invisible because the cashier not only acknowledged us as we walked in (we were the only customers in there) but did not even smile. He proceeded to rudely ask what size. We would’ve left right then and there but we did not drive about 15 minutes just to go back. We will not be returning.
