Really good pastries. We were skeptical given the long hours but the pastries were beautiful and tasted great. We got the morning bun, blueberry cream cheese danish, chocolate chip cookie, lemon meringue tart, brownie croissant, and almond croissant. Everything was good and worth getting against except the cookie - it tasted a little off. The pastries were a little too crispy, not flakey but we still had a good experience overall Came back and tried a couple more things: the dulce de leche Cronut, strawberries and cream waffle croissant, Dulce de leche cookie, pbj croissant, and creme brulee croissant. We really enjoyed the waffles and pbj croissant followed by the cookie.

I got a croissant, tiramisu, and carrot cake and none of them stood out or to buy again. The croissant was bland and dry. I like la sicilia better. Carrot cake I didn't like the fruit they put in the cake cause it wasn't pineapple maybe it was apricot but it was too over powering and it was missing some spices the only spice they had felt like cinnamon. The tiramisu is good and would probably get again. I didn't appreciate that the packaged my carrot cake and it fell over onto the box and got stuck. Each slice of cake is 7.20 and the croissant was 5.25.

A few days late for this review but I would never forget about this place.

Tucked away on a quiet corner, Shakkar is the kind of café you stumble upon once and never forget. The aroma of freshly baked croissants greets you at the front, buttery and irresistible, mingling with the comforting scent of espresso.

The croissants are a true highlight — crisp, golden layers that shatter delicately with each bite, giving way to a soft, buttery interior. Whether plain, filled with rich chocolate, or topped with a whisper of almond cream, each one feels crafted with care. The coffee, smooth and robust, pairs perfectly — never too bitter, never too weak, just the right balance to complement the pastries.

Delicious food and more importantly great service ! Shout out to the young lady that gave me one of the best services I have ever received in any restaurant or cafe. Thank you Jennifer I will for sure be coming back and trying...

They advertise having a few products like their giant croissant available to special order, but it's impossible to get ahold of them. We asked their staff both in person and through Instagram if we could order, but both pushed us to use their website. The problem with this is that their website does not work. The ordering system on their website made me choose a day in the past while adding to my cart and then after adding to my cart made me select a date again that were all in September and October (it's June). I decided to submit an order inquiry through their website. After not hearing back for two days, I sent them an email. Their website and staff claim that you submit special orders just 2-3 days in advance. It has been 4 days and I can't even get in contact with someone (they do not have a phone number...

This bakery really just makes you want to try everything! Displays are so clean and organized. Take my review with a grain of salt because it’s based on the cookies only. I got the “Negative double chocolate chip cookies” and the snickerdoodle. The snickerdoodle is light and fluffy—pretty standard, nothing too exciting. It was also rewarmed which now looking back, could be interpreted as not freshly baked. Yes I am speculating here. But no excuses for the double chocolate chip cookie. I asked if the cookie was cakey and was led to believe it would be gooey and extremely chocolatey which I interpreted as dense and rich. It was crunchy even in the middle which was at least 1.5 inch thick. I still have a brownie croissant to try but I don’t want to be...
