The Dog House Tavern — Restaurant in Houston

Bartenders are mad rude and maybe even racist!!! Don’t go there honestly, came in and asked what kind of beers do you have? “Some short bartender guy said “watchu see is what we got” then obviously i asked for something that was not seen like a regular bud light and he brought one. Paid him with 5$ kept the change as a tip without consent. Then has the nerve to tell me I don’t tip, well I obviously wont since you reply extremely rude and grabbed my beer when I was looking at the tv and had a couple sips left. Other bartender says to me after ordering a second beer “go drink beer at home, theres 2 doors” like what does he expect? I got a 4$ beer he talks that way and begs for a tip… and girls started to talk to me and he started yelling “he is a no tipper” like bro stay in your area just stick to your job which you are terrible at if you don’t like how much you make maybe should think about not working on a bar or talk to your manager about your salary, it is not my business to tip you if you suck and are rude, never in my entire life I felt so disrespected with such comments. To summarize and add few of their actions: -asked for menu did not offer and said what you see is what we got. Asked for something i did not see and surprise they had it. -grabbed my beer with no consent and never gave back my change but saiys I didnt tip. -told me out of nowhere we dont serve you because you dont tip. -walked by me as i was on my phone and said theres two door by the way go drink beer at home. -interrupted me and some girl talking by saying “he is a big tipper” Honestly people like this barman are a cancer to society. Honestly if I could give this place zero stars I would. Came here to celebrate my friends birthday on Valentine’s Day and the bartender who was serving us was EXTREMELY rude. Mind you my friend was showing me around town as I wasn’t from the area and I was very nice to him but he told us we had to tip after every round and was upset when we didn’t. A good tip is for GOOD service and as a server myself I know how people can be but he definitely didn’t give us good service, I even asked if he had any places to recommend just trying to be friendly and not ruin the night and I’m not sure if he was having a bad night or not but he told me to go back to Dallas to which my friend said that we should just go if he’s going to continue being rude to us which would make anyone upset and start crying. Probably one of the worst bars in Houston. The barman was thinking he was deserving of a tip after being fully rude to our group. Pretty sure he was drunk or high on the job. He was not giving recommendations and generally very mean when I asked questions about what was available on tap. He then berated me about not giving a tip due to his rudeness for about 5 minutes and I just spoke with my wallet at the end of the discussion (he had gauges, I recommend you avoid him). Like he even gave me my receipt back and wouldn’t accept it without a tip after he had been so rude; I’ve never experienced this at a bar. I tried ignoring him but he was simply just cruel and throughout the night kept approaching our group and chirping me. I typically tip, just this guy was so painful I did not.
