Just a simple order of a $1 vanilla Frosty, is what I wanted. In the drive thur I ordered for a Triple Berry Frosty. I was informed it was discontinued. No big deal items discontinue all the time. Thinking to myself, maybe we should mark it off the menu, just a suggestion. Okay, so let's go with my original plan a vanilla frosty. Informed the vanilla ice cream machine is not working right now, all we got is chocolate. Took a quick pause. Ok, can't worry about a broken machine so let's just change the order. can I please have a sugar-free lemonade. I was asked if it was the natural or Minute Maid? I asked if the natural was sugar free? The response I got was, "I don't know I don't make the lemonade". Clearly, you can see the confusion on my face because when you look straight from the ordering speaker you can see the drive-thru window where the lady is taking the order, so she's looking directly at me. It was basically her tone, i assume i was being difficult. So, I asked which one was sugar free, she said the machine. I said ill take that one. I then pulled up to the window to pay for mine large sugar-free lemonade which I was clearly corrected that it is a Minute Maid lemonade when she handed me the drink. I guess I was the customer of the day causing issues or maybe it triggered something because once I arrived at the window I see a few crew members standing at the window speaking and laughing watching me come up. What was the joke? If anything we should be taking the time to learn the menu that you are serving, so that way, you all can be able to answer questions for your guests whether if it's sugar free or not, instead of saying I don't know I dont make the lemonade. Normally, I would have pulled off and just taken my business and my $1 I was planning to spend elsewhere but given the fact that I did want something cool to hit my throat whether it was ice cream or a cold drink I went ahead politely paid and pulled off and just left my thoughts here in this review.
The tone, and the nonchalant attitude was...

On a Saturday afternoon, the parking lot was completely EMPTY of cars - could folks have gotten the word that this location isn't good?
The previous crew appears to have all been replaced. My order taker was either new or just not "with it." His associate in the kitchen was sharper but she wasn't at the front counter.
It won't surprise me if this location eventually shuts down. I can't see how it could stay in business if no one's coming, especially on a Saturday when there's lots of cars going up and down Kirby. It's a shame, too, because I really like Wendy's food. There's a management problem here, and it shows. Previous Review, Feb 2022: This Wendy's location goes through alternating waves of good and disappointing experiences. Today's was one of the disappointing ones. The order taker didn't seem to understand English so I spoke to her in Spanish which seemed to help a little. She crumpled up my receipt without asking if I wanted it. And the dining area, while not overly filthy, had tables that clearly hadn't been wiped down in a while, so I ate in my car. I passed a McDonald's to come here. Maybe next...
Read moreThe food I was served was hot fresh and delicious it was served to me very quickly the staff was friendly polite and efficient The store was brightly lit clean and very comfortable and pleasant to the eye. The only problem I had was a homeless person approaching me at the counter and begging for money. I told him to get out of my face and leave the store and not let me see him again or I would call the police. I don't appreciate homeless people harassing me inside of a restaurant. I don't blame the staff he snuck in when they weren't looking but at this particular location you have to keep an eye out for the homeless. I have nothing against the homeless but there's a time and place for things and when I'm tired and I wanna have a quick hot meal I don't want panhandlers to try to hustle me with their sad stories and their filthy presence, I especially don't want them to be around women and children. Other than this homeless person this particular Wendys could not have been more pleasant or nicer I recommend it but keep an eye out for vagrants and do not...
