And desperate need of a remodel of the restaurant and of the staff The prices are not worth the product bottom line it's become a Dave & Buster's without games just Asian decorative exploitation. There are so many better places to eat for the amount of money that two people can spend on two entrees if it's not lunch time it's not even worth wasting your time going to PF Chang's because the lunch menu is the real value and ending it at 3:00 and then giving me maybe slightly more food at almost twice the price is ridiculous also the lunch portions are really just made better size for my appetite so why not allow to order from that menu given that it's a smaller portion anyway. Restaurant itself was not very clean it looks dark and dank inside kind of sad because I remember a couple years ago it was always bright and just really nice looking. Now in order to enjoy it I need at least two large sake's before I get the bill because the sake is the only thing that you really get your money's worth with it's just sucks that this was once a really well run nice establishment and now you might walk in and not see anybody able to come assist you for 10 minutes while you waited the door or there's no support for the bartender and she's busy getting to gold's and helping the people at the bar and making drinks I'm starting to think that the cheesecake factory is giving them a run for their money and they just might run them off that corner. Honestly even the specialty drink menu has gotten rather stale it's not even creative and the menu hasn't changed much in the last few years for it to be a scratch kitchen with the " chef ". If I was one of those people that hadn't worked in a restaurant for probably a decade being a kitchen staff member to a waiter and bartender to a manager I would definitely have asked for my money back that day and let them keep the food and just paid for the one alcoholic beverage we had and the soda. Also just because your restaurant is poorly lit doesn't mean that people with restaurant eyes meaning they've worked in the industry can't see the dirt everywhere and that it's not clean and the floor needs to be degreased before somebody slips and breaks their neck for some mediocre food that cost way more than it should. I really miss being able to just drive over to the hibachi Express in Madison when I worked in research Park. I would never eat it at The one hibachi express on university but I would eat it the one in Madison it looked clean and it was delicious. Where you get good hibachi in Huntsville now? That's legitimately how awful the experience was at PF Chang's the last time I went a few days ago it made me wish for hibachi Express. Well I'm on the thought of it Connors has a phenomenal lunch menu as well Best in bridge...
Read morePopped in this past Sunday night after catching a movie. This was our first visit to this location in probably 3 - 4 years (due to horrible service our prior 2 visits). My wife and I sat at the bar, we were Robin's only 2 customers. The rest of the bar and restaurant area was mostly empty, it was not busy at all. Robin was quick to greet us and get our drinks started, but that's where the good stuff ended.
We were interested in the Brussels sprouts appetizer and asked Robin what oil was used. He said he didn't know and didn't offer to go to the kitchen or management to find out. Strike 1. My wife has food sensitivities. We decided to order the sprouts, anyways. At that point, Robin placed 2 plates and 2 forks in front of us. One of the forks was CLEARLY dirty and had food residue stuck to it. Strike 2. I had to ask for a clean fork, and that request got a very unusual look from Robin, like he was confused as to why I was requesting a new and clean fork. He brought us 2 forks....okay.
Sprouts app arrived and Robin was fixing drinks at the well. I interrupted him and asked for napkins, as we had not received proper "setups". He proceeded to grab a stack of beverage napkins and puts them down in front of us. Strike 3. Though I hadn't noticed at the time, another employee was behind the bar and grabbed 2 setups for my wife and I, but set them down next to the beer taps when he noticed Robin with the bev naps. My wife had to request "real napkins" from Robin, to which he replied, "You want cloth napkins?" Strike 4.
I ordered Chang's Spicy Chicken and my wife ordered the GFO of Pad Thai Shrimp. The food was okay, but definitely not the quality that we remember, and what PF Chang's USED TO BE known for. Honestly, I feel like it was something that came out of a fast food kitchen.
In addition to our service issues from Robin, we also witnessed at least 4 drinks being returned by wait staff because they were incorrectly made. It doesn't look good when a bartender doesn't know how to make a dry martini.
I'm not sure why such a decline in an establishment that was once really, really good and quite popular. Staff? Service? Food quality? Management? All the above?
This was, quite possibly, the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back....
Read moreIm not even sure why I stopped in to this franchise this evening. However whatever drew me to it in the past is certainly gone now. Let me preface, my server whom greeted me and quickly ( I mean Uber quick served me and dropped the check within 5 minutes of dropping both of my appetizers ( at the same time?) The kitchen next to me in the dining room,, Loud and lewd words coming from the kitchen could easily be heard. The two plates I ordered clearly has 0 effort or heart put into them. While not expensive It should not look cheap either. The Avocado Sushi rolls looked as if they were made several days ago and dry, tiny little things, mostly rice that was of no flavor at all. The avocado inside was actually turning brown. They just looked abysmal. I was too embarrassed to even speak. On to what used to be somewhat a signature for PF Changs. The Lettuce wraps. I ordered the Chicken lettuce wraps which Id not had in years but remembered the little butter lettuce cups that they used to serve them in. Perfectly crisp and cupped the Chicken perfectly and made it easy to wrap and eat.
No longer, they’ve gone cheap and use romaine. The effect is not nearly as good and looks like corner cutting or maybe saving some penny’s here and there, although I never knew hydroponic lettuce to be expensive. The Romaine splits at the stem and makes a mess all over your hand. Poorly thought out.
The place is dark and seems a hollow shallow memory of something that used to be a bit creative and fresh. Thats all gone. No discipline in the kitchen, and any manager letting the food go out of this kitchen is no manager I’d ever hire. The Town center mall here has a lot of other options. I have to believe most if not all are far and and a ways better than this huge empty dark cavernous space.
That on this evening had practically 0 guests in the dining room at 6:30pm and N/A management of the product and its staff in the back of the house. I was barely there for 30 minutes. 28 minutes too long.
