I usually go to another Starbucks closer to home. I have gone to this location before, usually with a non-memorable typical drive thru get your coffee experience. But yesterday was the most awful experience I have had in ANY drive thru (that wasn't immediately corrected at the window) in a VERY long time. It was Sunday afternoon - around 2pm I would guess. There was maybe 1 or 2 cars in front of me when I ordered, I didn't pay attention to how many cars were behind me, probably a lot considering we were at the window for about 15 minutes. The associate running the window was, I am hoping, new. She took my debit card but didn't run it for several minutes while she continued to take orders. When she did swipe it she couldn't figure out how to get it to process. (Found out later I had about $30 in pending transactions - not approved transactions, but it still held my funds until they cleared as not processed). She didn't ask for help for another minute or two and when she did no one helped her! They said something very nondescript such as "do it and it should work". The girl wasn't even apologetic as she handed my card back to me asking me to pay a different way! Not only was there that snaffu - my cup was covered in spilled coffee (usually they put a second cup when they mar the first one so badly). We had to wait an additional 5 minutes in the drive thru while they figured out that I was still missing my second drink (no one asked what the window cashier was waiting on - cashier also didn't say what they were waiting on. No one was paying attention to the customer (me) at the open drive thru window. No one was working together at all). They left the window open the whole time. Which is why this is such a detailed experience. The general functions of everyone working was a mix of chaos, scrambling, and clueless-ness. When I finally received my second drink there was no apology for the wait - just a "here is your drink". This is not service, it was a very unfortunate sad experience. And I highly doubt I will go to this location again. It wasn't even the product mistakes that bother me. The general lack of team work, communication, and cooperation and the fact I witnessed it all through a drive thru window is the...
Read more4/14/18 at 6pm I called the store to tell them my Toffee nut latte (With extra whip cream even!) I had gotten through the drive -thru was extremely bland as if whoever made it was in a hurry and either failed to stir it or forgot the flavoring completely. They also failed to put the lid on all the way Which luckily only resulted in a small sticky mess. I never got the chance to mention that part though because the girl who answered interrupted to explain that she had no idea why it would be bland since she didn't make it then asked what I ordered. She then tried to tell me it was the blond roast that makes it bland...sigh...I proceeded to explain that I live in Pocatello and visit Starbucks for the same drink every day (sometimes twice) and every weekend I make the trip to Idaho Falls and stop at their location when I arrive. Twice now in the last 30 days I've received a bland drink. The first time It happened and I called I was able to come back and they remade it for me. Rather than ask if I wanted to come right back she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager! Seriously??? I wasn't even upset today...$h!t happens! But for $5.04 I would like to enjoy the drink I ordered!!! I wasn't calling to complain so much as I was calling to get the drink I paid for! In the background as I was talking I could hear another employee loudly telling someone else that I was calling to complain about my drink and laughing about it..Finally as I was explaining how I just wanted the drink I ordered I heard the other employee mocking me by saying...."Do you hear her? She's still going on and on.... "Gobble Gobble Gobble". At that point, in tears, I told the person on the phone that I could clearly hear her co-workers and to just forget it. She didn't say a word to me before I finally hung up. I had no desire to go back there....nor will I ever go to that location again. Kudos to EVERY Pocatello location for having very professional and kind employees. (I will be making a formal complaint regarding this incident. the Date,Time, and location can be verified as I used my app to...
Read moreNot the first time it’s been like this.. won’t be back.. Ordered through DT a soy latte “warm” because if you take soy to too high of a temp, it scorches it and makes the latte taste bad.. DT window girl hands me my food and then my drink.. I tell her “oh, this is hot” and she suggests a coffee collar.. bless her heart it occurs to me she thinks it’s too hot to hold (which it is actually burning my hand) but I explain that I ordered it warm. She tells me they can’t make it warm and then offers the collar again, offers a double cup, and offers to add ice to my drink. I tell her it’s made wrong and that’s what I am trying to say. As a former barista, I realize that I am killing their window time by having this conversation at the window so I tell her I’ll come in to have it remade. When I come in, no one acknowledges that I have walked in. The Mobile order barista, Krystal, is super rude.. slamming stuff all around.. Tells me it will be a minute to remake my drink. I try to tell her what happened at the window and she tells “I didn’t make the drink.” She then adds that they can’t control the temp of the water… I ask, “…but can’t you see the temp of the milk?” She says that they can, but not the water… well, honey, a latte is 90% milk so I’m not sure what part of this is hard… but I don’t say anything… No apology, no “make-it-right,” nothing.. what is supposed to be a little morning treat turned into being treated like shit for wanting what I paid for.. she deprioritized my remake over two mobile orders.. then finally starts on it.. doesn’t sequence the milk first so my shots are dead. This must be the home of the worst baristas in town. From now on, I’ll just drive the extra 10 minutes Jennie Lee and 17th where they actually know what...
