Multiple breakdowns. 2 people. Only 2 people there. Arrived early while I drove from work for lunch. When the first was seated, he said he wanted to place the entire order since the other person was on their lunch hour. He ordered Crab Rangoon for appetizer, Chicken and Pineapple fried rice with Shrimp and some omelet with shredded chicken and sweet and sour sauce. For me, he ordered Seafood Pad Thai. The waitress took the order and left. A few minutes later she returned to say they didn't have seafood for the pad thai but had shrimp. He said Shrimp was fine. I arrived 8 minutes after he did. I was there a few minutes when she came to initially fill our water glasses. He'd been sitting there the entire time without water.
She brought the crab rangoon which he started to eat. A bit after that, the fried rice was delivered. That was supposed to have shrimp with it. There was no shrimp. He called the waitress to the table and mentioned that. A few minutes later the omelette dish arrived. He asked about the white rice that comes with that. She forgot. The waitress brought the rice. A few minutes after the white rice, she brought the shrimp for the fried rice. I am still waiting for my food.
The cook is obviously cooking one thing at a time. Huge time waster and inefficient. Thankfully, we weren't a party of 5 or something because the last person to order wouldn't have their food until every other dish was cooked, delivered and eaten.
By this time, I've been there over 30 minutes and my lunch companion is almost finished with his food. remember, that mine was ordered close to 40 minutes ago when he arrived.
A lady came into the restaurant to get her to-go order. The customer had to wait a few minutes but the waitress brought her containers and put it in a bag. The customer asked where the second order (orange chicken) was. The waitress had to go to the cook and place that order. The waitress asked the customer how much longer she could wait for the order since the cook didn't know. The lady said she was on her lunch hour and would run home and come back for the rest of the order.
We went up to the waitress and asked about my shrimp pad thai. She never entered that order. I've been there 40-minutes now and my water has been gone for at least 20. The waitress came back to the table to ask about the shrimp instead of the seafood. It's not like she didn't hear the order. After another 8 minutes she comes out and askes if I want the pad thai in a to-go container. Of course, I can't eat it now. Another few minutes pass and I still don't have the pad thai. The cook is probably working on the orange chicken and can only do one thing at a time.
I left without the food. I couldn't wait any longer, I had to get back to work.
The cook is totally inefficient by doing one plate at a time. But it's not the cooks fault that my pad thai wasn't entered or the to-go customer didn't have their orange chicken entered. The waitress was slow with the water, never refilled the water, the cook didn't add the shrimp, the waitress didn't bring the white rice, and didn't enter two orders. Neither one of them should be there. It's not a place to go if you have any time frame. They can't get to-go orders or sit down orders correct. We were the only 2 in the...
Read moreI was passing thought. And was craving Thai food . Now I'm from Seattle and I have had quite a bit of good Thai food and a lot of bad food. But this place is a diamond 💎 in the dust. Me and my 3 companions all ordered different meals and was a bit confused they did not have a spicyness star system. But they did bring out a condiment Is holder of different types of chili's sauces to add to increase the spiciness.
I ordered the pineapple fried rice with a little extra yellow curry. It Is my usual go to when I go to a new place. Manly cause it utilizes all parts of the kitchen to make. It's a good show of the skill of the cooks. It was really good and I even asked if they had some extra fish sauce with the peppers. She's a popular condiment in Thai Restaurants. And The owner made a fresh batch just for my dish. Ask my drink a choice is naturally the Thai iced tea. It tasted amazing almost like liquified white chocolate. I must get if your order any dish from this place.
My girlfriend actually Talked about wanting some peanut sauce But didn't see anything she wanted that came with it. And the waitress who is also the owner overheard. And had some made on the side in a separate dish with her orange chicken
One of the other companions had the cashew chicken and I have to admit I have never seen that much cashews used in a single dish. She has some dietary Restrictions and she asked about that and they catered to her. So if you have any issues with that just speak app when you order your dishes they will gladly see to it that there's something you can't have they will add or substitute.
This area of the country usually has very bland food and it's very country oriented food and finding this gem Stone of flavor and spices that are authentic to the Thai traditions was treat and would recommend to anyone passing though north Indiana to...
Read moreWe came on a Tuesday evening and enjoyed a delicious quiet dinner, and enjoyed very much talking with the owner. The restaurant has a warm and relaxing feel, is decorated with some very well placed organic, and authentically Thai touches that create an inviting and relaxing aesthetic. The dining room and the portion of the kitchen we could catch a glimpse of were very clean and organized in a tidy fashion. There was quite a variety of tempting dishes offered on the menu but we decided on two chicken options. Our meals (a red curry and Thai basil dish) arrived to our table freshly prepared and were very tasty with a nice spicy heat. The owner offered more rice if we found the dish too spicy, which was thoughtful but we enjoyed the spicy Thai flavor. The meals are made to order with a range of spicy heat. Our server was quiet but efficient and the owner was very friendly and accessible and we really enjoyed talking with her. We highly recommend Bangkok Place by Kami and will make a destination as we pass through this area again. Well done, Kami! Thank you for your hospitality, we wish...
