Bougie Specialty Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Indianapolis

The Bougie Lounge was anything but Bougie, did not live up to the name, 0/10 would not recommend. The customer service was horrible, they have one unisex bathroom, I was expecting class and a great experience. We tried to pay our tab for at least almost 2 hours but our server never came back to our table, not to deliver silver ware, to refresh our drinks, to take orders from new patrons, not to mention at the door when I was paying the entrance fee with my debit card, the gentleman made me type in the amount of the cover charge into the credit card machine. My experience at this establishment was subpar. The location is in the heart of what appears to be a homeless community, so I honestly didn’t feel safe. The service was decent upon arrival however it eventually became mediocre as the evening progressed. I found a long strand of hair in my food and although the staff remade my meal, I was never offered a discount or for the meal to be compensated. Portion sizes are small for what the price is, they were out of two proteins on a Friday night (chicken and beef), which really limited our options, especially because they had only been open for an hour. And it was super cold inside, only one bathroom, and decorations were very mid. Drinks were yummy, but expected quicker service since we were the only ones in there. Also, parking was confusing!
