Ordered takeout website, as we were staying in Downtown Indy and I thought I might as well combine my walk with grabbing our lunch (plus I would burn calories and not feel as guilty for ordering wings ;) The website was not simple and should be updated. It should be quick, simple and making any additions, changes, and allows for what the customer wishes easily. I finally gave up and completed an order, paid and walked to the restaurant. Upon arrival, the only worker at the cashier area looked at me. No greeting or even a hello was provided. So, I said I was there to pick up a take out order. She had a difficult time looking up my order in their computer, so she went in the kitchen, had the bag and went back to look up my order. I spelled my last name for her, thinking that might speed things up. However, she continued to struggle. Finally, after waiting 5-7 minutes for her to âlocate my orderâ (even though she had the bag of food next to her on the counter), she told me the amount owed. I explained that I paid everything online, to which she said, âOwe.â I asked for a large cup of ice water to go, as the website stated their restaurant was âout of stockâ when I attempted to add any of the Bottled Soft drinks (as I stood there and saw a glass front fridge fully stocked of all the Soft Drink Options :0/ ). She gave me a cup, lid, and straw. I asked for napkins, ketchup and utensils, as we were staying in hotel, which she handed to me. I asked if all other ordered items were in the bag, she said, âuh-huh.â I then left. I walked 20 mins back and found the 3 different kinds of wings and the tots, though NO celery or sauces that were ordered!! SERIOUSLY??!! The printed ticket was stuck on the bag by a BWâs sticker, so someone allegedly âchecked the order for accuracyâ. In this case, both the person who packed the bag and the checker failed. In addition, the front lady had ZERO Customer Service Skills, which means the Training Staff has FAILED. In the end, the Manager and Owner of this restaurant FAILED this staff! SAD, as this Brand is excellent and basically sells itself! As an Owner and Manager, it is your JOB to ensure everyone knows how to do their job AND they are doing it WELL! Customers should have an excellent experience and WANT to return. This was not the case today. I say all of this as a previous Manager in hopes to help this site to improve. Many restaurants near your location in downtown Indy have closed their doors and I donât want to see you guys have the same outcome. You all capable of so much more! Shame on you for this and prove me wrong!
UPDATE- I have been contacted by the Management of this facility- both the local Manager and and District. Each were apologetic, listening to what occurred and wanted to âmake it rightâ. I was told that my Debit Card would be reimbursed right away for the total costâŚ.well⌠I still havenât seen the reimbursement:-/. So, I gave them an additional star for reaching out, but do not offer a reimbursement and then not follow through! RUDE! Just donât offer it at all! (I wasnât asking/expecting for reimbursement⌠they are the ones that offered. So why say youâre going to do it and then not? Just another let down to on what was once one of the Classic Downtown Indyâs Go-To Restaurants for Wings, Games and After Partying⌠which I will now likely replace with a new place that offers better...
Read moreIf I am completely honest this has to be one of the worst Buffalo Wild Wings I have ever been too. In the past month I have had 3 terrible experiences at this location and as of last night it is my last time stepping foot in this location. I initially wrote the other 2 issues off but I no longer think they were one time occurrences especially after last night.
1st time- I got there to place a carry out order. It was a Monday afternoon around lunch time and the dining room was pretty empty and no one in front of me. The order came out within 10 (ish) minutes which was great but when I walked across the street and sat back down at work the food was mayyyybe lukewarm at best. (I work directly across the street) So I gave this as a one off occurrence.
2nd time- I again went there for a quick stop at lunch. It was a Wednesday afternoon so I knew to get there early to beat the lunch wing special rush. I got there and there was only 1 person ahead of me. I placed my order and waited. 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, so finally I got up and asked about my order. They apologized and went to check on my order. 40 minutes, 50 minutes. Finally, my patience wore thin. I grabbed a server and just asked for my refund because the take out counter was starting to get pretty packed. Now I would say I was just an exception to this but as I was waiting and more people came in for take out they were experiencing the same issues. The server just asked for my name and ran to the back and came back out in under a minute with my bag and apologized. I said you know what thats fine, I walked back across the street and again.....The food was lukewarm at best.
Finally, last night. I called in an order on a sunday night around 6pm. First they took my order then abruptly said "Please hold a second." I waited 7 minutes on hold just for another person to get on the phone and start completely over. I had to repeat my name 4 times. She said 20 minutes and the order will be ready. I was already on the way and got there within 5-7 minutes. I knew I would have to wait a little but thats fine. I get there, give them my name. They bring out an order in 5 minutes that was completely not mine. I had a pretty simple order of wings and they looked puzzled when I told them I did not order nachos. Asked for my name yet again. I gave it to them....again.. She went to the back and came out with nothing and asked for my name again....Really?! So she went to the back and came out with a bag which looked to be my order. Looked me in the face and said Stan? I said no....My name is Ben but that looks to be my order. Now I don't know how my name got mixed up with Stan but it did. Fine whatever. They then had to get their manager who looked like he had no care in the world to be there. They explained the situation just to confuse him and then the 2 carry out servers fought about how they got the name and order wrong. Again, this staff is completely awful as other reviews have stated. He cancelled the initial payment, and then charged me for my order and he apologized. This is the worst B-Dubs that I have ever been to. It is a shame since it is in a downtown location especially with football season upon us this staff will crumble. DO NOT even TRY to go to this B-Dubs. It will be a waste of your time and an...
Read moreLet me begin by saying that there are far better places to choose from in this same area that you're able to walk to. That said, let me explain.
I was attending a Comic Con right around the corner. Being there all day and coming up from KY, I was exhausted, hungry, and nearly dehydrated. When searching for places to enjoy a nice meal, I decided on Buffalo Wild Wings. Found parking right behind the restaurant in the paid lot. Went inside to find the restaurant was not all that busy.
It took a bit for someone to make an appearance at the host stand while the wait staff effectively ignored the front. The individual at the host stand was a larger gentleman who was wearing a law enforcement style badge around his neck. He sat down and decided not to bring me to a table but instead to attempt to get a member of the wait staff to notice that I needed to be seated. Ask attempts went ignored. When I asked why I'm not being seated, he said that he couldn't get anyone to seat me and that I'm welcome to sit at the bar. I opted for this option.
I made a choice and sat at a table that had full view of the bar. Other tables were waiting a while to be served their drink orders. I again went ignored. Not a single glance from any member of the staff. After a while, I'm going to share that it's now been 30 minutes, and I decided to badge my way to the door. This is when my first interaction with any member of the wait staff took place.
I asked him if anyone was actually working there. He then said that he is and that he can help me. I explained what had taken place and told him that I'm not waiting longer. He told me that they only had 3 servers, one bar tender, zero people to run orders, zero people to bus tables. At this point, I told him that was an excuse and falls on the shoulders of a failed manager. He proceeded to demand respect from me, or he was going to have me leave. Keep in mind, I've already told him that I was leaving and not wasting more time as I've already been there for 30 minutes.
Save yourself the lack of potential frustration and go across the street to 5 Guys, Chick fil-a or even Pearl Street Pizza, where I ended up going. Pearl Street was packed, servers were keeping up, bussing tables, cleaning them, and running food. All the while bringing food out in a timely fashion.
I wish I could give Buffalo negative stars, but I think this review...
