AF downtown Indianapolis. I have had 4 workouts at this gym recently. I believe I will have several more before I leave Indy for home. The entrance is on the second floor of their building. During working hours, M-F, you can get up there with no problem. After hours and on the weekends you need a special card to work the elevator and sometimes the external door to the lobby. Call and ask them, and they don't seem to have a problem giving AF-member-visitors a card. I think this gym is probably the smallest in total square feet, but they have most everything that is absolutely needed. The front room is the cardio equipment. Then the next is machines, and then down a hall to the free weights. Typical 1 squat rack, Smith machine, and leg press. BUT, there are TWO free olympic bars, so you can do deadlifts while someone else is doing squats, etc. Standard dumbbells up to 100lbs. There are some minor machines missing, but it is a floor space problem. The machines are Life Fitness which I personally am not fond of the weight stacks in the machines. No TRX system. The typical busy time at most other gyms is not very crowded at this one, because people are getting out of the city to get home. There is a restaurant right below the gym, and I noticed a bit of a smoky haze in there when the kitchen gets busy. Overall, this is a good gym if you work downtown, or are staying at one of the many hotels for work or one of the many conventions that take...
Read moreI recently started working with my personal trainer, Cavin, while recovering from a foot injury that left me unable to exercise for almost three years. From our initial consultation, Cavin took the time to understand my injury, current fitness level, and goals. He developed a customized training plan that focused on gradually rebuilding my strength and endurance while accommodating my foot injury. His attention to detail and concern for my well-being was evident from the start. During our sessions, he consistently demonstrates expertise in exercise physiology and injury recovery and modifies exercises as needed to ensure I'm challenging myself without risking re-injury. Adding to that his clear instructions and hands-on guidance have been essential in helping me maintain proper form and technique. Cavin has been a constant source of motivation and support. He celebrates my progress, no matter how small, and encourages me to push past my perceived limits. His positive energy and enthusiasm make even the toughest workouts enjoyable. Thanks to his dedication and knowledge, I've seen significant improvements in my fitness level and overall health. I feel stronger and I am positive I'll meet my fitness goals. I highly recommend Cavin for anyone seeking a skilled, compassionate trainer. Also the gym is great - clean, quiet and just the place I'd want...
Read moreI was staying downtown for a business trip and went to Anytime Fitness Saturday at 5:30 am to discover that this location is on the second floor of a building that requires a card key to get into the building. I called the phone number and left a message explaining what happened. Later that morning I received a call from Cavin Childers (Personal Trainer) explaining that I needed a key card for the building. He offered to drop the key off at my hotel so I could work out at his location during my stay. I was surprised at his offer and how nice that was of him! I can't say enough great things about this type of service! The gym is small but, well equipped. Also, it has a previous generation of Life Fitness machines which are smoother and function better than the newer ones that I have at my home gym in Illinois! I wish we had the older equipment as it works better. I highly recommend this gym and the service that Cavin provides. I am guessing he would be a great choice as a Personal Trainer based on his outstanding service he provided! Thanks...
