AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Exceptionally poor service and operation. I would give less than a star if it allowed me to. My partner and I came in to buy coffees and pastries to-go before starting our work day. We came in with an infant thinking most coffee places serve quicker. She said “it’ll be a minute. Why don’t you get seated?” and started preparing a catering order for someone else. It took whole 20 minutes and she hadn’t even started our coffees. The whole time she was appeasing the person coming in to get the catering order. She was so late in delivering it( didn’t deliver a full order) and she was ready to take other orders and said my coffee will take another 10 minutes to make. I asked for a refund as we had to get to work, and it was already 30 minutes of wait down the drain. The refund process was non existent, she said she clicked some button but was clueless. She asked me to figure it out later basically without refunding the money.

Up to this point, my mindset was that these things happen and I wanted to feel for her, as the operations seemed understaffed and she overwhelmed. But the part that infuriated me was the lack of any apology for the wait and the obvious preferential treatment. The person that came for the catering order got a mountain of sorrys whereas we didn’t get any acknowledgment of the delay nor even a gaze in our face. She even got back the 3 dollar pastry that she had handed over to us. I’m not one to bring race into these dynamics and assume best intent, but this was obviously one of the situations where I was left to feel “is it because we are not white or don’t have a large value order”.

Trust me you don’t want to be left feeling this way with a crying infant and no coffees and half an hour down the drain. THIS PLACE IS ANYTHING...

The staff truly stand out with their friendly and attentive service. They took the time to explain the menu and even recommended their favorite combinations, which didn’t disappoint.

I was in downtown Indy for a conference and wanted something better than hotel coffee. I stumbled upon Good Vibes Cafe Bar—and I left completely impressed!

The cafe shares space with a restaurant, but the second floor is all theirs. Once you walk upstairs, you enter a laid-back, inviting space with plenty of comfortable seating. There are free books to read, table games to play, and, of course, a menu full of uniquely crafted coffee and treats.

I ordered the Banana Caramel Iced Latte with oat milk and the Ube Almond Croffle, and both were absolutely outstanding.

The Ube Almond Croffle was a masterpiece. It was crispy on the outside, buttery and almost savory on the inside, with a perfect balance of textures. The ube whipped cream was just sweet enough, adding a velvety richness, while the almonds brought the perfect crunch.

The Banana Caramel iced latte was a special treat. Indulgently flavorful while allowing the espresso to shine through. Every sip was delicious.
