We used to love coming here, it was my wife's favorite place to go. Unfortunately the last time we were in it was a very frustrating experience. We had our 7 year old and 3 year old with us. My wife and I were wearing mask no problem, the employee working at the time asked us to put masks on our kids. Okay, again no problem. Our 7 year old put one on with no issues but our 3 year old would not keep it on no matter what we tried. The Marion county mask mandate denotes that kids 8 and under are not required to wear masks. Since our 3 year old would not keep her mask on the employee asked us to take her outside. We have been stuck in the house with our two kids for a good portion of the year and needed to get out as a family and this WAS a safe, familiar, spot. It wasn't just the absurdity of the rule requiring a 3-year-old to wear a mask but the extreme lack of sympathy from the employee. He was cold and rude about the entire situation. We will not be returning or supporting their business in any way ever again. It was a frustrating, embarrassing situation. Any one who says "oh that's just the business' rules", fine if you make stupid rules then you keep losing business. No wonder Amazon keeps getting bigger. Good bye "Good Games".
UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE So sadly it looks like you did not read my review and missed why we were upset and posted a generic response template. The employee we dealt with was VERY rude, we were not whining about the rules being unfair. While I find it silly trying to force a 3 year old to wear a mask, it's your business not mine and I respect that. The idea was to get out, look around, and pick some stuff up for us to do as a family. Not drive everyone out just to pick stuff up off the curb. No worries about responding we were able to go somewhere...
Read moreLoved the place it was nothing like I have at home. Which in my area where I live there is nothing to go to for Pokemon collecters. The prices for sealed products was a little high for my taste but small stores can't mark down like chain stores can. ( One huge plus for this store was its selection of Pokemon singles! ) The prices on the singles are the best I have seen for a small shop. Why I'm not giving this store a 5 out of 5 which it could have easily gotten. The service ultimately brought it down to a 4 out of 5 because it blew. Not much effort to help me as I was a new customer and knew nothing about the store. Because I wanted to look at there single cards and the way they did that is on the computer by the counter. So you would get on this computer and look at what they have in stock online. When you have selected your items you would put them in your cart and the worker would go get them for you sounds good right? Wrong... They only have one computer so if you need to look for one card in one set it would take you a bit. You feel rushed and confused as people behind you wait for their turn. Also half of the cards are not even on the website and as I ask more questions the guy kept saying they will be on the computer just keep looking. So I looked and looked finally he started to look and most did not even show on the system. To sum it up it was one of the best small shops I have been to and had great prices for singles. Just don't expect to he wowed by...
Read moreToday at Commandfest 07/09/22 I felt belittled, mistreated, like I was treated differently because of my skin color. After 3o mins of being in line trying to trade in cards towards the value of $175. I was told by one the Vendors working there that they were going to put someone infront me that had arrived after I had arrived and they were waiting in the other line on the other side. I spoke up and told them that I was next and explained that they came in 10 minutes after I was already in line. I was told that the gentleman they were placing in front of me had been there yesterday trading cards to them for 12 hour. I told them that they were going to loose my business in a respectful and upset way. After that then the Vendor asked me if I wanted him to do my trade in right there and then. By that time it was to late I felt belittled, like I meant nothing and felt like my skin color and how I looked played a part. I walked away and decided not to give them my...
