I've honestly never had a good experience with this location. The food is usually subpar and sloppy, fries are usually lukewarm and soggy, and I've experienced wait times up to 35 minutes in the drive thru during non-peak hours with only 2 or 3 other cars. However, my experience at this location today completely ruined any likelihood that I will ever return, despite its convenience. I will go out of my way just to avoid this location in the future. There was a misunderstanding about my order. I didn't realize it till I got to the pickup window, but by that point I had already paid. However, they did not initially give me my receipt for some reason and just told me to pull up. I figured out there was a misunderstanding at the window and the manager on duty came over. It should've been a simple swap and I was trying to explain the misunderstanding but the manager snapped at me and accused me of being rude saying she was trying to help but it was really her that was rude because all I asked was for my receipt to see what was even rang up and trying to explain the misunderstanding to clarify what I actually wanted. Initially they refused to give me the receipt again. The cashier asked me to pull up to the waiting area so I said absolutely not until I see my receipt. What ended up happening was I paid for a combo and a separate drink. When I pointed out the mistake to begin with they gave me the one drink and took back the other. I asked either for the difference refunded back to my card or the drink that I actually paid for. The manager had the nerve to not only storm up to the window and tell me she wasn't doing shit for me after they very roughly and rudely thrust the bag of food at me and told me to go, but she literally pulled a calculator up on her phone to show me a negative number that she supposedly calculated from my receipt and tried to say that I still owed HER money and she was bejng nice, however it shows on my receipt that I literally paid for 2 drinks and she refused to give me the drink that I paid for or the difference back. I tried to show her the receipt and she refused to even look at it. I would've been fine with the drink. But she wanted to get in my face and slam the window in my face so I simply gave her the energy she gave to me. I didn't even want the food at that point but I was so pissed off that I drove away instead of coming in to the restaurant to return the food I didn't even end up eating or to get my money back. I will never return to this location and I will be letting everyone know and...
Read moreFirst, I like the fact that this McDonald's still lets you serve your own drinks at the fountain, thereby avoiding the "cup of ice with a hint of cola" situation. This location is always clean, too. I must say, though, that I HATE the self-serve screens. Yesterday I searched in vain to add chocolate milk to my little grandchild's Happy Meal. I could only find white milk. Then as I tried to finish our order, the screen insisted that I add a dollar to make my meal a BOGO. I didn't want that! But when I attempted to cancel the BOGO, it canceled my entire meal. YEESH! So I gave up and went to the counter and put our order in with a living human being (and thank heaven that option is still available!) BUT... Never, ever, at this location have I ever received an order that was completely correct. First, they left out the grandchild's chocolate milk. Then I had to return to the counter because they hadn't included sauce for the nuggets. The staff people were pleasant and polite, I'll give them that, though. All I can say is, if you're using the drive through at this location, check EVERYTHING in your order before you pull away, because it will rarely be correct. And, yes, everything you've seen online about the diminished fish sandwich is true! I would stake my next pension check on the fact that not just the sandwich, but the box it comes in, is smaller. I've loved McD's fish sandwiches for years, but no more. Way too pricey for such a...
Read moreI live nearby and have been going to this McDonald’s all of my 23 years of life. That is, the old building before it was demolished as well as the current building. The old McDonald’s at this location was one of the best in the state. It was WIDELY known for having the fastest drive-thru of any fast food business in the Beech Grove area and surrounding areas. After it was demolished, it was never the same.
I have been regularly going to this new McDonald’s since it opened its doors. I or my family go usually 2-5 times a week. Day shift drive-thru is unfathomably unreliable and slow. I’ve started going inside to order rather than wait in the line. Second shift is ‘okay’. Third shift consistently gets my orders wrong and serves me under-toasted buns and overcooked burgers. Tonight was the last straw. I went there with my girlfriend. We ordered a big mac with no pickle and extra onion and a classic chicken with no signature sauce and add mayonnaise, as well as 2 medium fries and 2 drinks. The fries and the drinks were fine. However, I got a disproportioned, cold big mac with a soft, pale, soggy bottom bun, and a double cheeseburger. Not a classic chicken. Not even a chicken sandwich at all. A completely different sandwich.
I’ve really had it with this McDonald’s. Once again, I am going to take my business to the adjacent Steak n Shake and nearby White Castle. I’m sorry I reneged on this decision the last...
