Came on a Monday night around 7pm. Not that very busy. We were first greeted by a server that immediately came to our table to take our order. After asking for oolong tea (something they do offer) the server didn’t know if they had that and left to check. A minute or two went by and another server with a trainee in tow stopped by and told us they were there to take our order. We asked for the tea again and this server knew what it was. The previous server returned and had figured out the tea order. However the second server then mentioned they were doing sections and between the two they had a little tif over who would serve our table. It happened to be the second server with the trainee. (Keep in mind the restaurant is not busy and has enough servers for your very own server at each table. The restaurant was dead and probably for what I am about to explain) We carried on from there and placed a very large order to see how fast and well the food could be brought out. The server (Bryce or something along those lines) originally thought he would be able to remember it all. I did warn him that it was a large order and he told me to proceed. Through the middle of the order he said asked me to wait while he ran to get a notepad to write it all down. After returning I had to start from the top again. Once I finished placing the order we waited for the kitchen to start our order. Drinks showed up quickly but were then forgotten about throughout the whole meal/experience, water, tea and some coconut drink. They ran empty and were never offered to be refilled or even asked about. Food came out slowly for the setting of the restaurant. By the time the server got back to us after all the appetizers were delivered we were asking for them to be cleared so we could make room for the main courses. Overall the appetizers (crab wontons, dynamite shrimp, chile green beans, pork egg rolls and dumplings) were ok. For all the fried items the cooking oil that they were fried in left a bitter after taste and not up to the flavor of what I expected and received from other PF changs I have visited. This held true for the main dishes as well. The best thing was the egg drop soup but the main entrees of Korean glass noodles, chow lo mein, Mongolian beef and changs spicy chicken all had the same bitter after taste. During our meal the server disappeared and we had to flag down the original server to ask where he went but she did not know and started to ask others. He has been absent through most of the meal. By the time he returned he realized the glasses were empty (water) and disappeared to get a refill. While not the main reason I was asking for him as I don’t feel water should be something one needs to ask for a refill on and that it should just be done before it gets empty we were wanting refills for the other drinks ordered as well as dessert. He returned a 3 minutes later (yes at the point i was timing given the lack of patrons at the restaurant) to place the finally part of the order. The second thing that didn’t disappoint referencing the egg drop soup, was the Great Wall of chocolate. We consumed most of that and then waited again another 12 minutes before our server returned to ask for the check. Meanwhile I figured was already going to write a review here so I decided to check out the bathroom for cleanliness and was disappointed again. There was toilet paper coming out of the stall and the bathroom didn’t smell nor look clean. (Go figure). Returned to the table to find that the server still had not shown. Finally he returned to our table so we could ask for the check. The check at least came out quickly (surprise surprise) but then he disappeared so I paid through the QR code and sadly as much as I want to provide a decent tip an opportunity here was missed on so many levels that it wouldn’t even justify it. The sad thing too is the app automatically defaults to a higher tip setting and it is not justified by any means. 20% for mediocre service 25 for good and 30 for great? Try again. Very...
Read moreMy husband and I went here for dinner before bringing in the New year, it was 20 minutes before closing and the greeter ..won't say her name.. told me it's almost closing so their shutting down the kitchen, I said really? Would you mind going to ask them if they are? She came back 5 minutes later and said yes they are, I politely said okay, can I speak with your manager, she respond with a oookkkaayyy, like, me talking to her manager didn't matter to her, another almost 5 minutes, and the manager comes out, (it's now 10 minutes before closing). I said so you guys don't serve before your closing time? And Dawn the manager was very apologetic, she said, we do and I will seat you myself. I wasn't trying to be funny but said, your cook isn't going to spit in my food are they, the greeter started laughing, I said it's not funny like you lying and saying your closing, I can't eat here wasn't funny, the manager said no, I assure you we're not that kind of establishment. As she seated me she again apologized and said I'm going to cover your bill tonight. (How very thoughtful of Dawn) Logan our server came and was very nice even though they were getting ready to close she didn't make us feel rushed. The atmosphere is low lights and kind of romantic with candles on each table. Although the heat went out in the whole building including the mall, it makes for a good time to snuggle with the one your with. For the food We got the crispy shrimp with curry sauce it was excellent, the Cokes were even bubbly and fresh tasting. Anthony the cook brought the food out, very nice guy, and though getting ready to go out and celebrate he still greeted us with enthusiasm. My husband got the Peppered Mongolian Beef w/ rice, I got the Crispy Chicken with honey sauce, it was perfect, with large portions, and as my husband said... It was Ricco, not a complaint at all aside from the greeter. I don't believe in punishing a establishment for one person's unprofessional actions, and the manager assured me the girl got wrote up for what she did. I'm glad I stayed, the rest of the staff especially Logan and Dawn made sure PF Chang's lived up to their reputation. I would highly...
