I placed an order last night via grubhub and it turned into an absolute nightmare. I clearly noted multiple times that my partner has severe allergies to shrimp and avocado and specifically requested these ingredients be excluded from our sushi. Despite this, the dietary restrictions were completely ignored.
To make things worse, we also ordered a chicken teriyaki dinner, which we assumed would be a safe option after finding out the sushi was inedible for my partner but it was clearly cross-contaminated with shellfish as it resulted in a life-threatening allergic reaction and could have resulted in an emergency hospital visit had my partner not taken their allergy medication quick enough.
This was not just an inconvenience, this was clear negligence on the restaurants behalf as my partners medical emergency could have been entirely avoided had the restaurant shown even the slightest care or attention to the notes provided. Ordering through Grubhub should not mean compromising safety, yet Yoshi's staff blatantly disregarded the allergy restrictions they were made aware of in advance and put my partner’s life at risk.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Do not order from this restaurant if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. They clearly do not take them seriously and should be held accountable for the negligence they have shown my partner and most likely countless of other unsuspecting customers with allergy restrictions.
Ps: I attached a picture of the order receipt which clearly shows the dietary requests for both items that were made incorrectly in case Yoshi chooses to deny...
Read moreI ordered food from this place for the first time through a delivery app. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, and two separate bobas, a brown sugar with tapioca & a milk green tea with strawberry popping boba.
The chicken teriyaki bowl was a big disappointment. The rice was undercooked and hard. The actual chicken itself wasn't the worst but it was great either, and there was hardly any zucchini put in my bowl.
The brown sugar boba wasn't horrible, it was just super diluted. I typically don't like my drinks super sweet anyways but it felt like I was drinking sugared water. The tapiocas were a bit too soft for my liking but otherwise fine.
Lastly, the milk green tea was quite horrendous. I drank it and was thrown off by the flavor because it was nowhere near what I expected. It tasted like cereal milk to me and it was waaaay too sweet. The strawberry popping boba was its savior, but I ended up dumping out the actual drink itself.
Not a great first experience. And while I would like to give their food another chance, it will likely not happen...
Read moreDisappointed... This is a counter serve fast food restaurant. There are a few tables, no hibachi. We ordered takeout. I specifically asked if there were utensils and napkins in our order and the lady at the counter assured me that she put them in herself. No utensils or napkins. Thankfully we grabbed chopsticks on the way out because we were parked 3 blocks away. I asked if there was soy sauce for the sushi I ordered and again was assured she put it in herself. No soy sauce. The "Yoshi" sauce is just teriyaki sauce, so not great with the sushi. Sushi says made daily, but it had an odor and didn't appear to be made the day I ordered it. We ordered extra chicken and beef... some of the chicken was obviously pork and the beef was super tough, mostly inedible. I ordered shrimp, and that was just ok. The rice was probably the best thing we ordered, but not the best rice I've had. Vegetables were included in our meal... I had 4 small pieces of broccoli and 3 pieces...
