Oh how I love my hometown Piada... Not only have I worked here through so many fun times, struggles and have a history of meeting my son's mother at this location. I've been through the ups and downs as well as witnessed the ups and downs. I can remember a full restaurant with a line to the door for hours. I have literally made friends and family at this Piada location. A good friend of mine just took over this location and definitely know he has his hands full in making it as great as can be. Last Saturday I stopped in only to find the doors locked and a sign indicating Online orders only due to staffing shortages, sad but a reality for so many local businesses. We ran with 7-9 employees on a typical Saturday night and they had 3...I couldn't imagine. The struggle is real with staffing. I placed my online order and the food was still great and in a timely manner. Today I had lunch and while the food was still great, my only issue was uniform. All staff should have aprons and hats on, only the cashier Tony had his hat on and one line member didn't have an apron or hat, no one else had their hat on or hair nets. Come on ya'll, it's food service... Not going to make a deal about no masks either, I don't enforce at my business but people do care. "Karen's". I know Adam will get this location on par as he just took over. My Farmer's Market salad was awesome this afternoon, but please make sure everyone is in uniform and presentable, it makes a difference when competing with so many local quick service locations in the Belden area. Competition is real with Chipotle, Cane's, Panda Express, Dibella's, Firehouse, Giordano's and so many other locations! Set yourself apart! Raise the standards! I wish I could help, but I've got my own business to run and it's a hotel open 24/7. Will always be returning and want to see improvement to where we used to be. Take pride in what you do and who you serve. Pics are from my days of making this Piada what's it's capable of... Let's go guys! Attached are 10 pics from when we used to run the business from a successful side. Step up the game to get this...
Read moreYou would think that restaurants would be taking every precaution to protect their customers. I am a doordash driver and they made me fill the drink which I'm normally in other circumstances still not okay I thwith because I think it violates health codes since I'm not the restaurant worker. I told the employee that I don't feel comfortable fillit the drink because they put the lid on the empty cup so I had to use my hand to remove the lid p and then I had to use my hand again near the opening of the drink to put the lid back on.when telling the employee I wasn't feeling comfortable with that because I'm not the restaurant worker, she just told me we'll I don't know what you do with it in your car. Well I can tell you what I don't do with it, I don't put my hand anywhere near the top of the cup which is by where they put the straw that they then put in their mouth. Personally, I think I'll restaurant should stop fountain drinks entirely during this virus and if they don't, they shouldn't have drivers who are touching more things and we feel comfortable with being a part of the food packing process. Yes we are sanitizing a lot and washing our hands whenever we can and being as clean as we can but I would imagine that a restaurant worker confined to one space...
Read moreWe used to love this place. We went in last week for the first time in a few months and it has really gone downhill. We almost walked out before even ordering because one of the employees kept wiping their nose on their gloves and then continuing to serve food. She was not wearing a mask, nor was the person cooking the meat in the back, and he was also wiping his nose on his sleeve constantly. I am not a big stickler on masks but even without covid, it is gross to wipe snot on your gloves and then continue to prepare food. Thankfully, the manager made this lady change her gloves, although she gave him attitude about it for some reason and then disappeared in the back for 5 minutes. The employees messed up a bunch of people's orders and didn't even know what went into their own dishes, they kept asking their customers who just told them "whatever comes in it." They put the wrong dressing on my wife's wrap and the employees seemed like they had no clue what was going on and didn't want to be there. I felt bad for the manager, he was trying desperately to hold it all together. I think it will be awhile before we...
