The Original Steaks and Hoagies - Belden Village — Restaurant in Jackson Township

This is the best cheesesteak in Ohio.

Easily crushes Jersey Mike's, which is my normal favorite.

Charlie's really needs to go home or completely gut their supply chain and start over.

The service is as good as it can get, food is better than what you thought you were coming for (although a guilty pleasure), the atmosphere is basically Jimmy John's but less visually loud.

That's the one aspect that needs refinement, in my opinion. But you're gonna be so distracted by what you're eating that you kind of zone in on the food and forget the environment, anyway.

I hope this place stays around and the owners start getting more stores opened in the area.

All other sub shops have major competition with this one. Watch out.

Biggest disadvantage they have may be the location. It's just hard to pull into and the road is so distracting that it's easy to miss unless you're pulling into the plaza. I just happened to look right and noticed it. Asked my kid if he was hungry and we popped in.

Price posted is not the same as at the register! Had to literally tell the cashier that I didn’t want the food if it wasn’t the price posted before she alerted the manager who gave me posted price. Apparently they weren’t happy in doing so because as soon as I walked away to wait for my order I hear the manager telling the cashier that it was all her fault that I wanted my order at posted price. Definitely not my type of vibe when I have to feel like the restaurant isn’t honest with their menu prices. It feels awkward to have to confront a cashier over a discrepancy in price but then to hear the manager berating an employee and saying the only reason I wanted my food at posted price was because of them! Well it’s safe to say that I will most likely choose one of the many other cheesesteak options in the area than choose this place again. Tried to email after owners response and was blocked!...

I got lunch from The Original Hoagies today because they are located close to where I work. When I arrived it almost felt closed and no one came in the whole time I was there. It took a little bit of time before someone took my order but it gave me time to read the whole menu. I ordered the small chicken teriyaki and Cajun fries. I did not notice the Cajun fries came with blue cheese and I am thankful they asked if I wanted the blue cheese or ranch. GET THE RANCH!! GET MORE OF THE RANCH!! The best part was the ranch and I wish they gave more more than the small cup that I got. The sandwich was delicious and fresh, bread was good, flavorful chicken! But the fries and ranch stole the show! I will go back just for the ranch and Cajun fries! It’s a bit pricey. $15 for a small sized hoagie and small fry, no drink.
