Billy's Burgers — Restaurant in Jackson

I wasn’t hungry but thought I’d better grab a bite before bed. Because I was staying at the Virginian I walked in to Billy’s Burgers. I chose the Pastrami Stack, and I am happy I did! After a long wait they handed me the best Reuben sandwich of my life. This Reuben wasn’t just a good sandwich, it will forever be the sandwich that all Reuben sandwiches are compared against. I’ve eaten a lot of Reuben sandwiches always hoping for perfection. The Pastrami Stack at Billy’s Burgers achieved it. The rye bread was light, not overpowering, still soft and tender, toasted to gentle perfection. The bread had a generous slather of the best garlic thousand-island dressing ever to grace a sandwich. I admit I added a bit of mustard before biting into the sandwich, and yes, oh yes, yum! A layer of sauerkraut below and a generous layer of dill pickles above, perfectly complemented the beautiful thick slice of tender brisket done to pastrami perfection. The slice of pastrami was thick enough that the flavor of the beef brisket came through the complex layers of flavor in the sandwich unlike any pastrami I have ever tasted and it was oh so delicious. The only way to describe this sandwich is Reubenesque. Plump, juicy, goodness! I’m not saying I’ll drive the 5 hours from home and fork over $379 a night for a hotel room just to eat this sandwich again, but it’s not going to take much to get me to come...

A Gem in Jackson! I had the pleasure of dining at Billy's Burgers, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience!. The burgers are truly exceptional, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. I opted for the classic Billy Burger, and it did not disappoint - the patty was juicy, flavorful, and very generously sized. The option to customize your cheese is a great touch, especially for those with different preferences.

The waffle fries and poutine fries were also so delicious, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. A must try is the house-smoked brisket! Yes, Billy’s Chef uses a huge smoker to give that exquisite taste to the brisket and the wings, which makes food so mouth watering. The restaurant offers healthy food and ingredients, Gluten free options and also vegetarian options, like the delicious house made Falafel pita! In general, food in Billy’s tastes so fresh and will not disappoint you. You can choose from different salads and shareable appetizers, desserts like Soft Ice cream and flavorful Shakes!! 🥤🍔🥗

The staff at Billy's Burgers are friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. They have an indoor dining room and a outdoor seating area that is a lovely spot with nice views and sunsets, to enjoy your meal, along with a Sloshie or a beer from next door “Midtown liquor store”.

Tonight I called Billy’s Burgers to place a To go order. The number listed on google apparently routes to the Virg front desk. The gentleman said Billy’s doesn’t have a phone. So I went online to place an order, no online ordering, ok, so we went in to place a to go order. We asked to create animal style waffle fries, since they had all those toppings available as burger add ons. The cashier said no problem, and repeated our order to us. When we got home, they had placed all those toppings on the burgers instead. A slight mess up on our order, oh well. The burgers were delicious, but there seems to be a big issue with service/consistency. My roommate had also gone a few days ago, dine-in, and the cashier gave her the wrong receipt. They circled around many times with her order, that didn’t match the number on her receipt. She explained that what they were carrying is what she ordered. Management later came outside and made a big deal about it and insisted she come inside as she was eating (everyone else had long finished their food) to pay for rodeo fries which she never ordered. Her bank statement shows that she correctly paid for her chicken sandwich. They had a massively difficult time understanding their own error, and when it was all done, no apology or anything.
